December Roosters!

Here is Wallerbass and I with a few birds from this weekend.

So who else went with? We all know either of you could shoot all of those birds. Soemone else must of shot them Either that or Wallers girl trapped them all

It was a good weekend for us also although the deep snow was a little tough on the old legs. Good to see 40-50 birds in a drive. Hope most of them make it through the winter out there.

Its good to see everyone is getting birds, we have seen alot of birds this year, I love late season bird hunting and am so glad we can hunt until the end of the year. We got our two man limit friday and sunday, my 18 month old lab has finally got the game figured out, I had to put the old boy down and it sure feels good to get back in the saddle. For an old Iowa boy this bird hunting up here has been great.

Those late season birds are tough ones to out-wit. You really need some foul weather to hunt them. It sure helps hold them a tad longer anyway.

Nice birds! Drakesdemise and I are going to get out this saturday at my folks. Oh, I guess we are going to do Christmas that day to.

Anyway, I was out Sunday at my Dad’s with a couple of friends and my GSP Daisy and my friend’s GSP Charlie. We saw a lot of birds, mostly hens, and had some beautiful double points with the dogs. Ended up getting two roosters and missing 2 more we should have got.

Nice to see so many hens! If the weather cooperates we should have a ton of birds there again next year! I’ll report how saturday goes and maybe even have pictures for once.
