    Hey Steve,
I think earlier in the season, Improved cylinder, or even a Skeet choke is all the choke you’ll need. Later in the season, as the birds are a little more wary, and jump early, a modified choke would be the way to go. I use an over/under with improved cylinder in the first barrel and modified in the second.

Same here, depending on situation. Mod or Improved, but usually modified

I just changed chokes in my O/U last night. I have been using improved first and modified second. I have had four kill shots with the modified. I have ruffled feathers on 6 birds with the improved. This has been driving me nuts so I switched. I wish I had two modified chokes. I shoot Winchester Super Pheasants so there is no reason a hit bird shoot not fall. I did pattern my gun a couple months ago and at 35 yards there were some noticeable holes with the improved cylinder. I grew up always shooting a full choke, either your on them or your not.

Improved Mod. early in the season, Full after deer season. Skeet? That will cripple more birds than it’ll kill. The skeet tube is made for exactly that…SKEET.

I hunt with a pointer so most of my shots are close range. I use cylinder or improved cylinder. I might go with modified later in the season if the birds are not behaving. Last year I used Imp Cyl. the whole season.

Modified with heavy loads. We don’t have pointers so many of our birds are flushed on the run and out a ways.

IC in the Bottom (first) and Mod in the Top ( Second ). I haven’t flushed a double walking with this O/U and I never miss so I can’t tell you how or even if the Mod choke works…….LOL
