I just got back from the SD Pheasant Hunting Opener. The bird numbers seemed to be as good as ever. We hunted West of Chamberlain, and as usual, saw a lot of birds. Each day we easily limited out in an hour or so. There are still a lot of row crops in, so it is tough to judge overall bird numbers but I am guessing they are VERY good!

This is a picture of our group from opening day with our 30 bird limit. Not bad for an hours worth of work. Tony Dean and his wife joined us this year again, as always it is a pleasure getting to hunt with Tony. Thanks again to Darren and Chad Johnson for all their work putting in Food/Cover plots, it makes a huge difference.
