Some of the other sites I frequent have spring and/or fall hunts at game farms. Wonder if there’s enough interest here to do that. It’d be a fun way to meet some new folks, see some new pooches, and get the shooting eye & the dog tuned up a little bit.

I work as a guide in late summer/fall at Mille Lacs Hunting Lodge with the hound,if there’s intrest I could help get something going.
The lodge also has rooms so you could do some fishing the next day.

If you plan it around a Full Moon, you could hunt the Day and Troll all night! I would most likely be in if that is the case!

I’m game! I have a 13 week old pup so she won’t be ready yet. But if we make this an annual event she’ll be ready for next year!

Sounds like there is at least some interest. Let’s table this until August and then revisit it. If there’s enough interest maybe a Sept. hunt can be lined up.

There is a game farm just north of Redwing (by Miesville), on Hwy 61. That could be a good starting point, then from there, hit the river????

A guy could always stop at King’s for a good burger too!!!

GARY, That one is pretty small and the cover is just rows of sorgum. the birds runt o the end and go byby. plus theres no club house to have a bite to eat or a “pop” when we are done.

never been my self but a lot of guy I know from Veit go there and do really well. I like the idea of a Hunt/night fish tourney? most birds most inches? fish would be a gentlemans word but I think everyone here would be trustworthy

Me and my shorthair Daisy would be interested as well. I attended the hunts put together on the other website and they were a lot of fun!

There is a Pheasnat place by Hixton Wi. Been there once. Fairly decent place with a small clubhouse.
