My good friend Scott Reed of Berkley came down for his annual upland hunt with me today. We put 3 birds in the bag and dropped another that was lost .If we would have shot a little better we could have had are limits by lunch. We seen alot of birds and the #’s have looked very good in the areas I hunt the last few weeks. The hunting pressure has also been limited,I’ve seen only a few other hunters.
Here is Scott and Chy with a 3 bird limit.

I’ve noticed very few birds down this way. Must have been a poor hatch.

I think I have seen as many hunters as I have pheasants the last week. It seems everything I want to hunt, someone else already has. Don’t have school all week so I will try to get out there when most people have to work. The dog is back from her injury though and she is still 100% on finding downed birds. on Friday she chased a bird over 200 yards in open corn stalks before catching it and bringing it back all that way. I was so proud.
