I have been out of few times. The weather has not been the best so I have been staying out of my good haunts. Hopefully next weekend. I just canceled my trip to ND this weekend cause of the 70 degree temps . I will be back up there next weekend. I have only had on encounter with a shooter buck thus far. ND is looking really good this year, Can’t wait. Look at my post earlier this week. Twist of Fate ND Chapter. Had a great time with that and got some great scouting time in for Bucks and Birds.
I did some good scouting up North last weekend and got some new stands hung for the rut. The best 30 days of the year start next weekend cant’ wait.
Good Luck!

October 8, 2004 at 9:56 am #3736We’re hitting the area around Bulah on the 21st-24th. Freinds parents live there and it’s kinda free room and board. After the hunt on Sat,we go to the PP banquet there. Usually end up with some pretty good stuff and very good prices. My 2 buddies scored shotguns out there last year,1 bennelli and 1 Charles Daly.Sounds like brood counts are down though. Oh well, time with the son will make up for it!

Sounds like you have been keeping fairly busy anyways even without being able to hunt. Sucks that you had to cancel the trip out to N.D., but like you said no sense in wasting your time hunting in 70 degree weather. I will have to check out the Twist of Fate and see what it is all about.
Nothing really happening for me, no shooter bucks in the sights yet, but hopefully soon. Guess the neighbor farmer has a dandy 12 pointer running around, so hopefully I can get a shot at him. Have some nice ones running around, just have to wait for the rut to come when they get dumb.
You said it….. the best 30 days of the year start next weekend. Have 5 days at the end of Oct. to really hunt hard. Hope everything pans out.
Good luck out in ND and hope to here some good reports when you return.
