    MMMMMM…DINNER IS SERVED..I GOT 3 THIS MORNING OFF THE POWER LINE IN MY BACK YARD…THE DOG HAD 3 GREAT RETRIEVES. AND 1 GOOD POINT. NOTHING BETTER THEN DRINKING COFFEE IN MY SLIPPERS AND KILLING DOVES…. —B2

    Heading out to kill geese, but I know there are doves in the area as well. Thing is a guy is going to need to get his limit to make a meal for the family. Should be fun though.

    Yeah, it’s killing me as well. With Michigan recently adding a dove season Iowa is now the ONLY midwest state not to have one. Seems we had the chance a couple of years ago but Veto Vilsack had his way.

    I read recently where Minnesota expects to see an economic impact of $115 million from their dove season. Let’s see…6 states around Iowa have dove seasons at $100 million benefit each to their sporting goods, resturant, hotel industries…..that is seriuos money.

    We envy you guys. Anyway, best of luck!!

    Perhaps I should have made myself a little clearer. The ‘cruel’ I was referring to was you guys yipping it up about getting to go hunt them little buggers, whilst us unfortunate Iowans get to go birdwatching!
