There are predictions of 1″ plus rainfalls across the Southern half of Minnesota, with a line of sleet and ice forming somewhere in the area also. I’m sure glad I don’t use a wheelhouse.

Yep, the weather on my phone says a high of 36 Christmas day!! Life is good.
Not ideal ice weather but I’ll certainly take it. Stay safe out there.
I see only 16 hours barely above freezing with rain. I don’t see it compromising the ice too bad.
I was on a small lake in Chisago County yesterday. The ice is approx 5 1/2 inches with slush 3 inches deep. Major flooding when we cut our hole. Ice was clear but is starting to honey comb top inch or so. This lake was one of the first to freeze. With forecast I am done until it refreezes. I had water above my 2×2 floor in the shack by the end of the day.
