Up and down water temp

I haven’t gotten the boat out yet and have just been focusing on some shore spots near the dam on pool 2. With the water temps constantly going between low 40’s and 60’s over the last month, it’s been hard to pattern anything. The crappies have shown their faces but not for long. Walleyes are pretty sparse up there by now, and there are a lot of shiners hanging out. You would think u would stil hit some random eyes, drum, whities, pike, smallie’s, right? Wrong. I haven’t had any action worth talking about in quite some time? What do you guys think is the deal. Temps have just dropped back to 57 from 63 a few days ago. Thanks for any thoughts.

My guess would be with the dropping water levels the walleyes have spread out more. I know they can really stack up on shoreline current breaks in higher water up there. The highest water being the best. Lower water it might be time to get the boat out and start trolling those shorelines. Less current those fish start to move around and with all the bait can feed when they want.

Kind of figured as much for the walleyes, but what about everything else that swims in the river? What have u guys been seeing for different species?
