    Perch taste terrible.

Social media is great for the industry but worse than all other factors that have an impact on fish populations.

Pool 3 is better than pool 4 in terms of walleye fishing.

The Bass vs Walleye argument is overrated and stale. Both have great anglers and both have days where a blind person could get on the bite.

What we are willing to spend on tackle. Its crazy and I still do it.
Picking just the thread color doesn’t make a rod custom.
Split grips were pushed because the lack of good cork not weight saving and feel. Removing the extra weight from behind the reel throws off the balance.
    Hard seltzer.
Fishing shows are getting worse by not talking about what and how and just showing them catching fish. I rather learn a bunch of info and not see one fish caught.
We use way too much salt on roads. It is very bad for our waters.
MN should have 2 line allowed all year.
    Ethanol gas sucks.

    I feel better now. toast

The way I look at Bass fishing is similar to taking a 5-6 year old out fishing. Most people would take them out pan fishing because it’s the tug they need to keep interested even if it’s a 4″ sunny.

Bass guys are very similar to the kid except not only do they want constant action, they want a heavier fish.

That’s the way I see in form Briank’s World.

Next unpopular opinion are the people that try to explain something they have no clue in what they are talking about.

“if you cant pay cash, you cant afford it” is the biggest BS in the world. Use stupid low interest rates to your advantage and invest in the stock market.

Have a limit of fish, you’re done. No more fishing all-day when the limit is reached… Slip bobbers and leeches should be outlawed. DK.

All game fish should have closed seasons during the typical time periods of their spawning activities – regardless of lake or river

A food plot is nothing but a big, spread-out pile of bait.

Also, Wi needs to do away with all the BS deer hunts. Go to a draw format and have a few short firearm or muzzle seasons

Yep, and the farmer with the biggest pile wins!

The DNR should ban all spraying for aquatic “weeds”.

Agree with that RT, lakes are public we would not allow someone who lives next to a park to spray and kill plants within that park.
Was going to bash walleyes a bit but got beat to it big time-how about a walleye stamp to buy like the trout people have to buy and for the same reasons: A fish that is stocked big time, is expensive to manage, stocked or not and is not a fish everyone fishes for. Use fisheries money to create or maintain natural reproduction, stop feeding stunted pike with the bottomless dumping of walleye fingerlings.

I agree it makes no sense to take spawning fish out of the system.

A walleye stamp already exists and has for years. It is optional to purchase though.

Most folks (casual and non casual fisherman) don’t know the difference between a daily limit and possession limit and specifically what their state regulation is.

Daily and possession mostly only applies to hunting. I think perch are the only exception in Minn. No exceptions in Wi. That’s why I don’t freeze fish.

If I hunt in national forest I shouldn’t get reamed on non resident. Non resident should be private and state land

The sports of hunting and fishing is at carrying capacity and doesn’t need the introduction of new members.

Number of hunters has been declining every year for about 10 years now if I remember correctly.

Hunters aren’t going to have much pull when there are hardly any left. I guess, for my controversial opinion, I’ll go with: Hunting is dying and it’s the fault of current hunters for not being more inclusive.

Muskies should not have a size limit and not used as an excuse to make changes for the rest of the fish and how they are fished in the fishery.

Weeds should not be cleaned out to only help one fish species.

If you do not know how to drive a boat you should not own one.

If you cannot find your own fish spot you should not be able to buy a license.

If you drop an anchor where every other boat is trolling you should not be able to buy a license or a boat.

I have more but this is a start.
