You people and your weird feet. Crocks are so narrow I can’t fit my feet into them unless I get them 3 whole sizes larger than what I need. Then they look like the clown shoes they are. (my 4x wide feet are normal ) Crocs are the only shoe my son will wear for the last 3-4 year. They drive me nuts. He even has insulated ones for the winter.
They’re the perfect wheelhouse shoe.

They make wide sizes as well. I know this, because I rock them any time I’m not wearing my red wings

pshhh. I have Summer Crocs (original), Fall/off-road crocs (all-terrain), Winter crocs(fur lined) and Blizzard crocs (Puff boots). Yes, I have Croc puff boots. And people are jealous.

Well now we all gotta hear since you did the equivalent of telling one person in a room “come here, I’ve got a secret.”
October 5, 2022 at 9:53 am #2150600And FYI I’m in a shotgun only zone, haven’t been deer hunting all that long so I’ve got no hot take one way or another and I’d be interested to hear your perspective.

The logic that I’ve always heard that was behind the shotgun zone in Minnesota was twofold.
There was a concern by many that deer hunting in the wide open spaces of Minnesota would be too easy if rifles were allowed.
The other part had to do with the idea that there would be too much risk to property and life in wide open country if hunters were to continue to use rifles. The idea was that hunters would be blazing away at deer out on the open prairie and not be paying attention to what was in the background.
Also there were large amounts of military surplus ammo still on the market back in the day. Most of that ammo was full metal jacketed bullets. The tendency for ricochet is amplified with that type of bullet because it does not deform as easily on impact with the ground. So again more risk of stray bullets hitting property, livestock or people.
Given what I’ve seen about what seems to happen to people’s brains when a whole bunch of deer bust out of a shelter belt or drainage ditch I would have to conclude that all of the above logic was essentially correct.
October 5, 2022 at 10:12 am #2150607Rapists, child abusers, murders, wife beaters…. all need to be executed at half time during the super bowl to show real consequences.
Any idiot that thinks guns are a problem, and not the irrisponsible jackazz using them, please relocate to california
California would be better suited about 2000 feet below sea level

If this is unpopular Randy I don’t want to be popular. Spot on with everything!

Randy – While I 100% agree with the sentiment, this issue isn’t whether they deserve it, it’s how many innocent people would be executed. False conviction rates are estimated to be between 2%-8% for murder, and are likely higher in cases of rape and abuse.
October 5, 2022 at 11:03 am #2150624I agree with Randy x1000
YEs, there are some cases that would be wrong.
The slam dunk cases should be handled swiftly and judiciously, not 15 years on death row and hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxpayer time and money to plead ad nauseum.
How about those that we know, Manson, Dahmer, Hinckley etc. , the idiots on video footage we can plainly see, the kid in Chicago who hops out of the car in the street, shoots the person off screen (dead) and then leaves the scene. You can clearly see him but not even apprehended by Chicago police per their Mayor’s new “woke” thought processes, Gislene Maxwell ( hubby already got his), the list goes on.
There are no real consequences for being a POS human. Many of these folks at least get 3 squares and tv in prison.
And YES, prison is horrible – your actions- your consequences.
How about we ship all criminals to an island ( like several movies) and let them sort themselves out?
California?? Hopefully the people out there wake up and realize that their “world” they have created cannot survive itself and I for one do not want to bail the hypocrites out.I LOVE white vehicles!

The consequences of these types of crimes will never be a deterrent. Never have, never will. People commit violent crimes because they are effed up in the head. Some can be saved, many can not but to suggest that somehow someone is going to think about the consequence before they commit a rape or any of the other crimes is ridiculous. They do it because they can’t control themselves.

I find a cheeseburger MUCH less appetizing if it’s been place on an upside-down bun.

No, like you have two halves of the bun open side-up on your plate. you build your burger and realize that when you put the bun on top, you’re looking at the bottom half of the bun. Do you eat like it is or do you swap the top/bottom buns despite the fact that half the cheese will now stick to the bottom half (which is currently the top) and the top (which is currently the bottom) will be all greasy from the patty sitting on it?
I have to switch them. perhaps I should seek help.

Hmm…isn’t the crime in the middle east pretty low? and isn’t that due to the punishment being the deterrent?
RipjiggenPosts: 11443October 5, 2022 at 1:46 pm #2150671The only rational deterrent for crimes like murder, rape, and domestic/child abusers is because it’s an inhumane and horrible thing to do to someone. The punishment for getting caught likely has little effect on the mind of the criminally insane. And punishment only comes if they are caught.
