    hi everyone
guys, what knife to buy? I want it to be universal. I mean I love to hunt or go fishing, so I will carry it everywhere. Can you help me to decide on the brand? As for $$$. Well, now I can spend around $100.
    Thanks in advance.

I’ve been quite happy with the CRKT and SOG knives that I own.

Timberline that is handled by Great American Tool Company has a great line of knives out the biggest thing to do is look at what your most common application I’ll be for the blade style if its more utility use vs skinning or field dressing animals out that’ll determine the style of blade that you want for very high quality southern grind has a series of knives but most of those will probably be well over your budget

Need to know a little more to help you. Pocket or sheath? Size blade?
I have lots of ideas. I have a small collection of knives. Nothing overly ambitious (well they do decorate the walls of my cabin…) but I do like to acquire more of them than I need.
My number one gift idea to my wife for Christmas this year is a pocket knife!

When I was fishing last time I didn’t catch any fish, but I was lucky to find this knife https://www.mrosupply.com/lighting/emergency-lighting/flashlights/1750219_5509_nebo/ At anyway, I’m going to buy a cool knife.
timberline knives are good, I will choose among them.

This is probably heresy to you knife lovers but I really like the knives that use replaceable scalpel blades. I have a Gerber Vital and I think Havalon Piranta is a more well known one. They are sharp and you don’t have to worry about maintenance!

I have a couple different Gerber folding sheath knives and they’re nice. My pet is a Kershaw folding knife with a clip point blade. This knife does everything and stays as sharp as can be for a long, long time.

Its pretty hard to have one knife that will fillet a fish and skin a deer and so on. You would be better off to have a good filet knife and a separate hunting knife. Myself, I have a 3″ buck folding, buck hunting knife, and a separate filet knife.
