Underwater camera panner

I have been debating what underwater camera panner to get? I haven’t heard good reviews for either the marcum or aqua view panners, so wondering if the bad reviews are warranted. There are not many options for remote camera panners. Thanks for any feedback.

I had an Aqua Vu-for year and a half before it went to hell. Friend had a Marcum, same result. They are both junk but when they work they sure are nice. Cameras are a real hassle without them but I haven’t replaced mine. I don’t use a camera enough to care anymore, spotting my house is about the usage limit for me now. Both I spoke of were wireless.

The wired Marcum panner was the best I owned, the wireless version moves too much when you tap the turn button, the wired moves in much smaller increments..

I have a wireless Marcum and am going on year 3 with it, fairly happy. As JoeMX said, it does move in larger increments than I wish, but the remote fob is a trade I am willing to make. Being able to just hit buttons to make adjustments instead of stooping down is nice.

I heard they didn’t last long. I have the Marcum corded model. Bought a spare 10 years ago when they were on sale. Still using the first one.

I use a 3-1/2 inch AquaVu. No problems with it. Photo shows my set up although I have swapped out the base for a smaller one. I mounted an arm on the base and run camera cable thru a rubber stopper on the arm. Easy to adjust depth and rotate stopper to pan the camera.
