I have a Marcum camera which I use occasionally when the conditions allow for it to be used. Several years ago, I integrated it into the top of a 3 gal. bucket so I could use the bucket for cord control and storage.
This year the lead acid batteries finally gave out so I decided to make a change. I converted the power source to DeWalt Lithium, same as I use for my overhead lights in my flip-over and my drill auger.
Twin 20 volt batteries wired in parallel, followed by a step down convertor to 12.3 volts, with a power lead to plug into the Marcum camera display.
The entire camera/bucket assembly is now, much lighter, as well as much better balanced. Before, the unit was a bit top heavy. The camera will operate on either one or both batteries. Having two batteries just doubles my run time.
