i can’t speak for the ones you mentioned but i picked up a aqua vu 5 micro with a case for $100 on CL a few years ago. i only use it to scout and see what is not biting but that is what i wanted…..something small and portable. so far i am very happy with it….great picture and can usually see a ways out depending on clarity. look into those too, maybe you can score a good deal?

The Marcum Recon cameras use a strange lens setup that creates a sort of tunnel vision aspect view, that and the Recon+ recorded video file format is a pita to deal with afterwards for playback or editing on a computer/tv… I’ve heard much better things about the Pursuit HD camera, but it’s alot more expensive…

Thanks for the input, I’ve heard that the recon has a narrow field of view. Good to know.

Just bought a AquaVU 715 for like $300 seams to be a nice camera going to use it for Open water and Ice fishing. The Camera head is nice and heavy so it shouldn’t spin as much.

I have an Aqua Vu Micro Revolution 5 Pro, but now that Marcum has the Pursuit HD I would probably go with the Marcum. Nothing wrong with my Aquavu, but HD would be nice!

Steve Worrell seems to capture some pretty good footage underwater but I have no idea what he uses.
