Guys – I’m looking for opinions on these. I have a Striker Ice Predator Suit for the -40 days but that, with boots is heavy and not always necessary.

I’ve heard these baselayers are insanely warm, and I have to imagine under my IDO hoodie it would be great for down to 20 degrees. I swear my IDO hoodie is warmer than most jackets, its just not a hardshell.

    Thanks for any opinions

So I don’t have the 4.0 layer, I have the 5.0/treestand layer and that’s all I wear with a thick sweatshirt all winter long unless it’s windy out. If their’s no wind I’m comfortable below 20 degrees.

I have the 3.0 and they are crazy warm for what they are. I don’t think that you will be disappointed with the 4.0 for what you are trying to accomplish. I would buy more in a heart beat.

Best money ive ever spent…most days i wear the wool lined UA top(i believe this is the tree stand/scent lock) w my skysweeper hoodie and never have an issue
I have the 4.0 leggings and most days its those a pair of loose sweat pants and my clam bibs and i rarely get cold

UA 4.0 is for very limited or no movement. If you plan on doing any walking the 4.0 might be to much. I went with the 3.0 as I do a lot of walking in the early season and didn’t want to get overheated. The 3.0 haven’t disappointed me yet and I’ve had them for a couple seasons now.

Nice I’m probably going to grab the 3.0 because I run and gun more when I can. Thanks guys – My summer stuff has held up awesome. The only long sleeve stuff I can wear in 85 and sunny and not sweat and protect myself from the sun.

Look forward to these for river fishing too under waders this winter

I grabbed a 4.0 top and I would recommended it to anyone. I only wear a jacket when it is raining. I can’t wear the 4.0 legs, they’re too warm.

From my experiance a Merino wool poly blend for half the price does the same thing. I work outside, sometimes physical work or sometimes putsy work like wiring the merino blend keeps me warm and wicks away moisture when I’m physical.. Ive learned no base layer is going to work if you dont have a good wind break outer shell.
Last week fleet farm had their merino blend 30% of $19.99 . 3 sets for the price of 1 UA 3.0
