Different breed of production value. Entertaining nonetheless.

Love that show. Rap sequence went a bit farther than needed but so was the sushi video and all hilarious.
May 10, 2015 at 11:24 am #1543013He’s refreshing. I have enough shows with Midwest polite values to watch and I love them all don’t get me wrong, but the normal outdoor character gets a little one dimensional. Plus the dude knows how to catch fish that’s for sure.
May 10, 2015 at 8:30 pm #1543127Aaron is a dude. My son loves his fishing shows and copies his sayings and fishing tips. Just like I did with Big Al, Babe, and Roland.
We ran into Aaron at a fishing show in the Cities. Spent some time hanging out. Great guy!
May 10, 2015 at 10:36 pm #1543173Definitely one of my favorite fishing shows, Aaron and the guys are so hilarious and they put big fish in the boat constantly. Would certainly be an experience to hit the water with them!
May 13, 2015 at 11:35 am #1544127Not my cup of tea, by I can appreciate the talent and amount of time they must dedicate to putting some of that stuff together.
May 13, 2015 at 12:11 pm #1544135Love it!
There having fun, catching fish and sharing good fishing tips along the way.May 13, 2015 at 1:36 pm #1544163He’s refreshing. Since I can’t word it any better, quoting your post seems appropriate. I agree 100% with what you said there.
May 13, 2015 at 4:10 pm #1544205I’m curious if members like/dislike uncut, what’s you feeling about Gillespie?
May 13, 2015 at 9:10 pm #1544265I like Uncut, but cannot stand Gillespie. He tries way too hard for the camera and is an absolute spaz, trying to say sponsors names every other word. I did fish next to him one spring, and one the camera was rolling, I wanted to puke. But when the camera was off, he was an average, decent guy. If he just filmed his shows like that, he would be fine, aside from the ridiculous rate of sponsor name drops…
I’d enjoy hanging with the uncut crew, they seem like my type of fun!
nhammInactiveRobbinsdalePosts: 7348May 14, 2015 at 6:16 am #1544313Agreed and he bosses his guests around and gets way to close. He hardly fishes he hires a guide and sits back. TERRIBLE. He doesn’t even have to talk to be annoying. His actions are tough to watch as well.
May 14, 2015 at 7:24 am #1544319I meant for my question to to be answered like, I like Wiebe, hate Gillespie or whatever. No ulterior motive, I am just curious.
I dislike Gillespie. Too annoying.
I don’t mind Aaron, but I have little interest watching his videos because of all the other stuff like music videos and skits.
I like my shows like how I fish. I fish to relax as well, so I guess I like my shows like that.
I will say that I hope Aaron’s style turns more kids on to fishing. Uncut utilizes social media very well. Maybe kids will see their stuff and take an interest because it isn’t all lame and stuffy like this guy (me).
May 14, 2015 at 9:51 am #1544365Uncut is wicked awesome! I also absolutely love Gillespie! I don’t watch fishing shows to try to learn anything I’m in it for entertainment value and both of them do it perfectly!
May 14, 2015 at 10:13 am #1544377Not into rap music but thought that was pretty good. Never knew they used such big baits for lake trout. Liked the drone shots to.
May 14, 2015 at 11:02 am #1544397I like the Uncut guys too. Hard not to like guys having fun and enjoying what they do.
I also liked Mike Iaconelli in City Limits so that should tell you something.
hl&sinkerInactivenorth fowlPosts: 605May 14, 2015 at 11:53 am #1544443The show was like drinking one of those trendy beers, drink it fast so I can go back to enjoy my go to drink. They did a good job but it was not my taste but hay ya gotta test the waters.
May 14, 2015 at 12:20 pm #1544459I liked City Limits too. Is that show still on?
Unfortunately, no. I’ve heard that he might be getting a new show though but haven’t seen it yet.
I really liked the idea behind City Limits. I only wished that he would have went to Pool 2 instead of ice fishing one of the Minneapolis city lakes when he came here.

He fished some pretty nasty waters. Was it his show where they were doing some inshore fishing in Washington (the state) or Portland, something like that and a big old thunderstorm popped up with tornado warnings nearby?
I also remember the show where he saw some kid fishing a urban pond and helped him catch a little largemouth.
May 15, 2015 at 7:14 am #1544677I didn’t see that show, but knowing how the show was framed with a limited amount of time to fish I wouldn’t doubt it.
One of my favorites is when he fished big browns with Eric Hataaja in the Milwaukee Harbor. He had a pretty good meltdown on that trip. He doesn’t like loosing fish.
May 15, 2015 at 9:37 am #1544727The guy can catch some big fish, and it’s fun to watch in general.
I still have a memory of the sturgeon episode they did. It was funny to watch his usual high energy fishing level try to adapt to the patience of sturgeon fishing. He immediately started talking about all their snacks and drinks they had to occupy themselves
