I tried them for the first time tonight. I used the 3″ crawler on a jig. I used a Hutch’s jig with the worm keeper. I caught my first eye after only five minutes. We left right after because my kids were getting cold. I will definitely be using them again. I can’t wait to try the longer ones with spinners. It still looked like new after the first fish.

We gave them a pretty good run last year, they seem to work OK. They certainly hold up better then a live crawler. grin

Can you tell if they are scented/flavored? (go ahead and take a bite ;) I think I heard Joe Bucher or Matt B from Uncle Josh say they are soaked in real worm juice or something… They look durable to me which is a plus, but I guess the proof is whether the fish want to inhale them like live bait or not ~

I have tried the “meat minnows” with mixed results but like everything they all seem to work at one time or another. I have not tried the crawlers but plan to soon.

    Thanks for the report

I have used them sparingly and they do work. I intend to use them on slow death rigs once I start pulling those as long as I can thread them on the slow death hook. They can be pretty tough to thread on a hook.

They are phenomenal. Last summer I caught a 28 inch eye and 45 inch musky on the same piece and it survived the Musky attack.

I do pretty good on Bago with them. Eyes and perch on the reefs in mid-summer
