Umpires

Different topic than normal but figured worth a shot. It sounds like most youth sports we are looking for officials this season. If anyone on here or if you have say high school /college age kids looking for a side gig this spring/summer we are looking for umpires in the Zimmerman area. Working on verifying pay, but if my memory is correct it is $50 or better per youth game. If needed I can threaten parents and coaches before games regarding sportsmanship.

It is a good and fun gig. When I was in high school I ump’d for junior-high aged games. If you enjoy being around the game it’s almost just like a fun hobby. I honestly don’t remember what I got paid but for a high school kid it was pretty good money and much more than I got for milking cows! In my later years I wouldn’t mind doing something like this in my area when I have more time. Good luck on your search!

I’ll do it, but my contract has to have a clause that allows me to have a pistol in a holster on the front of my chest protector. Obviously I will not shoot any parents or coaches. I mean at least not in any area that’s likely to be immediately lethal.

It goes without saying that my contract will need to reflect that I get reimbursed for ammo at current market prices. Oh and blue m&ms. I only eat the blue m&ms.

I’ll work on the pistol part of the Clause. Not so sure how well come on the blue m&m’s clause.
