My seat and radio settings change with my stored seat profile. Occasionally i have to press the memory button to reset
Interesting, I’ll give that a try.
So frustrated. I have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee (new to me) with a Samsung S5 and could not get the Uconnect to work properly. I spent the money to upgrade to an S9 and I still cannot get it working. Did the latest software upgrade. No help. When I get an incoming call, it does not announce it just fades out my radio and automatically answers the call. Doesn’t give me an option to answer or not to answer. Also does not read incoming texts. I don’t know why this is so hard. Uconnect Support was no help to me. Any thoughts?
2016 Chrysler Town and Country – won’t load my phone book (android). Have tried multiple times.
You need to change the settings on your PHONE’S bluetooth pairing to allow this.
After it’s synched to the car, open the bluetooth dialog on your phone and press the settings button next to the truck connection.
Turn on contacts access…
Sounds like I’ll keep pushing the pedal on my dirtymax and keep the Garmin lady’s mouth @ bay.
I’ve been very happy pairing with my trucks pairing with my phone via bluetoof. I use the Garman independently for navigation when I have no idea where the “E’ll I going.
I am now running a Ford and a Chrysler store….. stick to Chrysler. (snicker)
I need some help with my Uconnect! I bought a 2014 Fiat 500L in December, and there are some “favorites” (contacts) already saved on the main screen of my Uconnect radio. They are in a small banner that runs along the top of the screen. I assume these were programmed by the previous owner. Unfortunately, I have been unable to figure out how to take those off or put in my own contacts, and I’ve accidentally dialed “Mary” at least 3 times.
I don’t have a Mary in my own phone’s contacts, or CJ, or any of the others that are displayed on the screen. Even if my phone is not connected to the radio, they are still there, so I know it is something that is programmed into the radio’s computer and is not being populated by the bluetooth connection to my phone.
I’ve spent a couple hours on Google now, trying to figure it out, and I cannot for the life of me find anything to help. I found the “supplemental Uconnect manual” online and read through that–no help. I found some YouTube videos, but they aren’t specific to my radio (I guess). I can’t even find instructions on how to do a complete factory reset on the darn thing. I would greatly appreciate ANY help!
Welcome to IDO….lets see if we can get you going in a positive direction.
I imagine that the previous owner created a password to get the radio dialed in as he/she wanted and without that you’re up a creek. Have you tried taking it into a Jeep dealer and asking how the radio programming works>? If you have any paperwork for the vehicle that has the previous owners name and address, possibly a phone number, you could try contacting him/her directly or at least have a name and address to start with.
Just go to the dealership and they will erase all and go back to stock settings
Thank you both! I’ll contact the dealership as suggested. Too bad there’s not an easy way to do it through the settings. That would be too easy, right? Ugh.
Thanks again!
I went through 4 Uconnect 8.4AN screens in my 2013 RAM 1500 Laramie. The last one was supposedly customized just for my truck.
I had the same problem as you did. But mine also would lock up the climate functions, radio and stuff.
Needless to say not being able to defrost my windows in this winter was the last straw…
That truck went back and was claimed as a lemon. I got a 2014 RAM 1500 Sport and never had any issues with that one.
By the way, I figured it out!!! There is a “secret engineering menu” on the Uconnect radios. I had found a video about it for a Durango, which has different radio buttons, so a quick search for the Fiat Uconnect engineering menu was the trick. I had to push three buttons simultaneously and hold for 5 seconds. Then, the menu popped up and I was able to do a factory reset.
I didn’t try to reprogram the “favorites,” I just went in with the intention of doing a factory reset.
