I’ve been waiting a year and a half for the Uconnect software upgrade that would give me a clock that could keep the proper time and a navigation system that didn’t direct my into a corn field.
It lasted about a day, what a piece of dog feces.
What year vehicle is it? Does it support android auto or apple carplay? If it does, switch to using that. True, it sucks you will be using your phone’s data, but if you download the maps local to the phone it should cut down on that.
I use it in my 2017 Silverado and its awesome, although MYLINK > UCONNECT.

I can’t say much. My trucks SYNC is a complete steaming pile of dog poo. About 30% of the time it doesn’t work at all. Hit the media button, nothing. Hit the speech button, nothing. Just dead. I can’t complain much since my commuter car just finally got upgraded to one with a CD player instead of a tape deck…and I still don’t have cruise control…

If you have an android phone, install android auto if your uconnect is compatible. If apple, then you need apple car play.
It is SUPER easy and no worries about using your phone to talk on, if you are using it for navigation and need to call or receive a call you can still do that.
I just say “OK Google”, then the friendly beautiful 22 year old blonde emanates from my speakers asking what she can help with.
eelpout, it doesn’t look like android auto or apple carplay is compatible with the 2014 system. Supposed to be in 2017. Time to trade in! LOL
set your clock to gps time… what is the nav doing ? or not doing ? cornfield ? what update , over the air or did you go in ?
G – In the morning everything works perfect, as the day goes on the clock slows down and sometimes just gets stuck on a time and doesn’t change. With the navigation, you can slowly see the vehicle leave the road and just veer off into Neverland.
I’ve spoken with Uconnect a few different times and they are well aware of the problem. They said the “over the air” recent software update was suppose to resolve the issue.
Funny story, about 3 months ago when I spoke to them the guy asked my if I ever tried the circle fix, I said nope what is that?
He said go to an open area, preferably a large parking lot and do 5 slow tight circles and see if that works. I tried, it didn’t. I’m thinkin I got punked.
Sorry to hear you are having problems. My Uconnect works perfectly. Latest update even improved my back up camera. Also added functionality, on top of that it to me for free.

I got a buddy that said the same thing, then in a week his took a dump.
eel… we are not seeing any of these issues…. you would think if it was widespread, I would have heard by now. Can you PM me the last 8 of your VIN ?

Here is what is happening.
At Franklin and Riverside it just started heading off course, by the time I got to the 35W bridge it shows I was in the river.

Bluetooth is a joke …here’s how to get it connect to phone ..get in car turn on car look at phone connected message on screen ..play music eeerrrr nothing ..screen message connect a blue tooth device…whatch it do this for the rest of the day..or wait for it…yep turn off Bluetooth on phone and turn it back on again…lol what a friggin joke .

I hear that if you open and close the door 3 times stand on one leg Pat yourself on the head and press nav button it will work for at least 4 hours .

I’ve never subscribed because navigation is free and that’s all I need it for.
I don’t need to know which movies are playing at the closest theater, where the cheapest gas is, how many Taco Bells are near me, the weather/radar are kinda nice though.
I was not aware there was a cost? I have a 2014 and i got the upgrade, drove my boat from Canada to Arkansas for warranty work and no matter what we set it tried to drive me through St Louis trailering a 21 foot boat.pulled out the phone and Google maps showed me the way. Its horrible
The Navigation is horrible on most of their systems. 2 years ago pheasant hunting in middle of nowhere South Dakota, I was trying to get to the ranch we were hunting and I knew we were very close but couldn’t remember the exact turn. Plugged in the address and it wanted to take me 1.5 hours around in a big square so I could go on paved roads rather than take the 1-2 miles on gravel.
I just bought a 2019 Ram, it doesn’t even come with Navigation. Just the Apple CarPlay/Android Auto – the dealer said they are done with navigation in vehicles because Google Maps and other navigation apps on your phone are so much better than what they can put in the vehicle. And I’d agree.

UConnect nav is garbage. I don’t understand why they can’t have Google Maps broadcast on the display, when it can pull my full phone book and every song/podcast I have available. First world problems I know…

That’s exactly what my 2019 does with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Not sure if that is new in 2019, 2018, or when. It is a very nice way to do the map on the display.

Good to know, I looked into it and that is available only on 4th Gen UConnect, my 2017 has the 3rd Gen UConnect.
What’s with the stupid weather alerts all the time… WEATHER ALERT..Its going to be really windy in Maryland..eeerrrr great! I live in VA and don’t care..

Hit the button to fold back the mirrors, come back to the truck and all the radio stations are changed and the icons on uconnect. It’s happened 4 times. One time the mirrors were un-adjusted and my seats were in the far back position.

Shot in the dark did you put larger than stock tires on? When I up sized on my 2013 Ford it threw the gps all off. Had to get the new size re-programmed and that solved the issue.
Absolute garbage !!! Would work then not! Don,t waste your money !
My seat and radio settings change with my stored seat profile. Occasionally i have to press the memory button to reset
