Short bursts of salmon. The fish are staging, but the cold water, weather changes and river flow have the fish moving in and out instead of concentrating at the pier heads. Large schools of alewife have the browns, lakers, and smaller kings moving in and out. Waiting for the bite with j-plugs and spoons mixed put fish in the cooler and a number of good battles where the fish won.
