Didn’t see it, but glad they won today! A sweep wouldn’t have felt good.

And to think we thought the amount of injuries the last couple seasons was bad……sheesh!

“C” squad playing game one of the double header today. Ryan was on his game, 12 strikeouts in 6 innings.

“C” squad gets the win in 12 with a major contribution from “A” squad Jeffers. To this point I have been wrong about Martin. He seems to be doing OK. In balance I believe Miranda was vastly over rated.

    Now lets get a sweep!

    hey its finally happening!

the 2 pieces of the Berrios trade finally contributing. i did not see the game, did Riichardson look good? i do like Martin, he reminds me of the Jays Bo Bichette. hope he can catch on quick as he has an opportunity to play early on.

Martin played centerfield game 1. Richardson pitched game 2, I don’t know how he did although Detroit only scored 1 so………….

Yes Gardie is still there with Leland as his bench coach. Friedrich gets the start for the Tigers tomorrow.

Richardson was very good. Six innings and 4 hits I believe. Retired 14 straight at one point. The bats are looking a little better. Martin is exactly the type of player this team needs. Gets the ball in play and can line it anywhere. I’ve said this ever since the Twins began this massive HR quest, it doesn’t matter how many home runs you hit when they are all solo shots. You have to get people on base to make HR’s important. Correa’s injury sounds much less severe than originally thought as well. Hopefully be back in a couple weeks.

Also, the bullpen has been rock solid without two of it’s best arms. It’s about the only reason they’ve won any games.

Ryan is 0-1 in 3 starts. 2.60 ERA with 24 strikeouts in 17.1 innings pitched.

Sure would be nice for the Twins batters to give him an early lead.

Looks like the bats are slowly waking up also. Another great hit by Martin. Waiting back on a nice curve and lined it into centerfield. I’m starting to really like this kid.

The heck happened today? When I checked the score in the 8th they were up 3-0. They gave up 4 in the bottom half and lose 4-3??

bullpen cracked for the first time this year. Pretty dumb move by Baldelli in my opinion. Theilbar hadn’t barely thrown this spring and he brings him in after two rehab innings in St Paul, especially when the pen has been bulletproof.

I can see them getting swept in Baltimore fairly easily these next few games.

Down 6-2 so far. Miranda has a homerun, Twinks have 7 hits to this point.

Julien set the tone with a critical error in the 1st inning. Cost them two runs.

    Great reference Rip.

To me Varland is still just a thrower. His can get by with his fastball because of the velo, but he misses he spots far too much which is why he gets killed by long balls. Hopefully he learns to command better over the season and learns to pitch a bit more. I’d love to see another start from Woods Richardson, but I’m sure the way this season is already going he will be a mainstay in the rotation once someone goes down.

Nice to see Miranda have a nice day. Also Jeffers has figured it out again too. He’s on a tear.

That Austin Martin about killed Buxton twice in one inning by running into him. Im sure Buck had a talk with him at the end of that inning.

Neither Martin nor the rest of the team are accustomed to Buxton being in the field……

Obviously early in the season but boy it isn’t looking good. No one can hit and the starting pitching is mediocre at best. Maybe we’ll get healthy by summer but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Does not look good as Kansas City and Cleveland keep winning. Hopefully they can turn it around but everytime we get something going another player gets injured.

Good to see Pablo back in solid form today – looks like one mistake in the 1st.

Twins batting order same ol’ song. Ouch.

Another loss to Baltimore 4-2. Pen gives up a 2-1 Lopez lead in the 7th on a homerun and then Jax gives up a 2 run dinger in the 9th. Twins pitchers gave up 3 homeruns today.

Mahto called it…. a 3 game Baltimore sweep.
