I agree Musky. That’s kind of why I said he’ll need to pull a gem (out of his _____)

Buxton back on the roster replacing the “injured” Kirilloff. Wonder what injury they made up for him? rotflol

Does it matter? Not sure he touched a ball all series….including in the field. I’d much rather have a solid bat in there like Solano.

I agree. Although I can see Buxton coming in as a pinch hitter and striking out in a big moment.

I don’t think Buxton gets in unless he’s pinch running late in the game. There’s literally no other reason to put him in.

So being the DH is out of the question?

Why would they put him at DH? Julien will be at DH.

I think you know I’m luke warm on China Doll over-all. But he did finish second or third this year in homeruns despite not playing much lately. He offers a bit of protection to those hitting around him IF he is making contact. If he is all swing and miss then yes he should sit.

I haven’t seen the starting line-up Rocco has been told to post so maybe I’m barking up the wrong tree.

Couldn’t have drawn up a better first inning for Ryan. Hope he can keep it going.

Problem is he hit 90% of those HRs in the first three months of the season and then batted sub .200 with barely any the rest of the way.

He is not in the lineup and will only be used for pinch running. You also have to keep in mind Kepler was our HR leader with 24. That’s not saying much. Buxton was 5th with 17

Should’ve been 2-0. Huge HR there though. Got the crowd back into it.

My ex-wife never listened either. Don’t worry about it you will get use to it.

In other news the Phillies are pounding the Braves 6-1 after 5.

Last time I saw uppercut swings like these, Mike Tyson was in the ring. C’mon guys, get on base!

Well Rocco is going to have to manage this bullpen perfectly the rest of the way.
That doesn’t give me warm and fuzzy feelings.

Not a fan of taking Ryan out this early. Like AJ has been saying, you now need every pitcher to be on his A+ game. It only takes one of the 6+pitchers to blow the game.

I have a feeling it was Rocco’s game plan to get Ryan through the lineup once and then go pen the rest of the way. Besides one pitch, Ryan looked pretty darn good. I figured this is what would happen but I wasn’t expecting Ryan to make the decision terribly difficult either.

Gonna need to score, pretty unlikely 7 guys come in and have clean innings.

I’d like to see Paddock eat up 3-4 innings.

The swing & miss is alive and well tonight.

I really think there’s something below the surface re: The Twins and Joe Ryan. There have been a handful of times over the last 2 years you can just tell they have hesitations about him. Yes, he has struggled of late, but I don’t know if it’s off field stuff but there’s something that bugs them about him. Just my hunch – –

Probably was the 24 HR he gave up in the last two months of the season.
