Seriously, its not like this is the first sunny afternoon game we’ve ever played at Target field… enough with the shadows excuse… wasnt an issue for the Astros in the 1st….

It’s weird how the Twins hitters can’t see with the sun but Houston can. whistling

Yeah that talk is going to get old REAL fast.

I wonder if they put sunglasses on would help? I realize the shadows are causing issues, but perhaps some filtering of the light would help. Either way both teams are facing hit.

The sun’s behind them. Tough start to the home game. Guess I’ll go back to work

Sonny hung a curve in the first inning for a 3 run bomb. Scored four in the first and has settled down since. Offense has gotten guys on base and done nothing with them.

It’s one game guys. Our young guys have been over matched all postseason. They need to get the vets in.

No clutch hitting. No hitting at all they have 1 hit and that was in the first.

Umm, 27 outs to a game. Play them out. Houston is good but they are far from unbeatable.

The way they are approaching the at bats, tells me this one’s not changing. Save your arms because you’re probably going to need them tomorrow and hope the lineup adjusts a little better than today.

Oh I would have Maeda finish the game. I wouldn’t care how much he got lit up. If he holds them hey, maybe a walk, couple hits, error and a bomb and they are back in it.

Hopefully tomorrow the bats come out and we can keep in the series. I will admit it was a fun few games to watch, but tonight was hard to look down.
It helps I’ve caught all the games live, but sadly I am about to leave this job now and I won’t be back for a few weeks. I’ll have to catch tomorrow’s game while sitting in the woods.

The Twins team really hasn’t hit that well the entire playoffs sofar, most of the runs have been due to Correa and Lewis… That will need to change tomorrow or it’s over…Joe Ryan is most likely to give up runs to that lineup…

I am pretty sure Ryan will be on a short leash regardless of how he pitches today. The game is at 6 instead of 1 because the Orioles got swept. So that is a bit nicer for fans I would think. Be a bit cooler at game time, but the players will not have to deal with those shadows again although it didnt seem to affect Houston.

Yeah that was annoying. Twins had plenty of opportunities to answer, and just couldn’t get the clutch hit, then the Stros ran away with it. Time to put up or shut up now, let’s see what they are made of.

Game 4 was always going to be Houston’s weakest pitching game, if we can push it to a game 5 what a pitching matchup we’ll get to watch!

I think the Twins will play well tonight…Hey Rocco, please don’t pitch to Alvarez…

I like the Twins chances tonight. Every arm that’s not falling off should be available.

Hopefully Kiriloff and Wallner sit today they havent done jack. Hopefully Farmer, Salano, and Taylor are all in to start. Almost have to leave Lewis as the dh even though he had some ugly swings yesterday.

Kinda feels like Ryan will need to pitch a gem tonight…

That would be great (obviously), but I doubt he’s getting any leash tonight, they will be holding his collar and pulling him at the first sign of trouble. I expect to see most of the bullpen, regardless of how well Ryan does, as I doubt he goes beyond the 5th even if he’s dealing.

You are probably right as it’s elimination. If he’s dealing I say ride that horse. Hopefully that will be a decision Rocco has to make

I like Ryan, but I am very skeptical that he will be “dealing” if he is however let him roll and pull at the first sight of trouble. He hasnt pitched well in a while.
