I doubt they care he cheated, they still have the ring.
I think it’s probably what Greenhorn said, they somehow feel betrayed he moved on.
October 8, 2023 at 8:26 pm #2228888My god. When has MN had a big player show up for the postseason like this? That seems to never happen. Lopez is dealing.
October 8, 2023 at 8:30 pm #2228889I’m listening to the Astro’s announcers, talk about a dead fish enthusiasm. Nothing here and I doubt they are good even when they are winning. Terrible.
October 8, 2023 at 8:34 pm #2228890you can hear the tone change from the play by play guys as the game wears on. they were kissing Valdez ass early now they are unsure what to say
how many times have they brought up how Lopez velocity is still at 97mph after he has pitched over 200 innings? its like it is supposed to drop or something?

I agree, this is what we all crabbed about in this forum for years… lack of a dominant starting pitcher. Pitching, pitching, pitching. Pablo is TRD.

Yes he was… but then they need to boo Altuve, Bregman, Springer too..
October 8, 2023 at 8:41 pm #2228898Twins front office looking like geniuses this season…
C4 baby!!!!
October 8, 2023 at 8:42 pm #2228899Yeah but he shows up in October!!!! What a huge win this would be!
FryDog62Posts: 3696October 8, 2023 at 8:49 pm #2228904Remember early this season when Arreaz was hitting .400 and just about everybody was ripping the Twins? This is why you do that trade. There is no substitute for good pitching in the play-offs. None.
This game isn’t over yet but it shows why you need a shortstop for a leader and a leader for your pitching staff. I’m not a big Falvey fan but he got it right on those two.
October 8, 2023 at 8:50 pm #2228905Dumbest thing I’ve seen in a while. Squeeze a guy that can’t run with a guy that can’t bunt.
sloughPosts: 581October 8, 2023 at 8:52 pm #2228909I think Lewis just reinjured his hammy…
Really odd call with the squeeze there. Wouldn’t mind it if that was our normal style, but Jeffers has probably never bunted in his career before, plus you’ve got a guy with a bad hammy on third. Let’s hope Pablo can get through 6 or 7. You know Houston is going to put one in the seats eventually so it’s nice to have this cushion.
FryDog62Posts: 3696October 8, 2023 at 8:53 pm #2228910I think Duran needs to put a 104 in Peña’s rib cage next time he comes up…

Jeffers has actually squeezed several times the past few years, he just needed to push it to the first base side vs 3rd…
October 8, 2023 at 9:10 pm #2228916Yep. Those guys that hated the trade aren’t very loud now. Arraez wouldn’t be winning these big games for this club.
October 8, 2023 at 9:12 pm #2228917I send him back out for the seventh! I’m sure he’s done but I’m sending him back out!
October 8, 2023 at 9:16 pm #2228918EVERYBODY thought that trade looked lopsided the first few months of the season with Arraez hitting over .400… Ultimately it turned into a rare win/win trade….
October 8, 2023 at 9:20 pm #2228919Pablo looked pretty average the first half. Luis looked amazing the first half. Lopez got hot, Luis only batted .350 and won another batting title. both teams got what they wanted. you guys are so dramatic.
October 8, 2023 at 9:21 pm #2228920Holy crap I thought Carlos hit that 500 feet. End of the bat and off the wall.

I’d bet the Marlins would rather have a post season ace instead of a meaningless batting title as they sit at home watching the playoffs.

Man I can’t see how you don’t send him back out, I think he’s only at 89 or 90 pitches and rolling…but wouldn’t shock me if they did take him out.

they got like 4 other horses in their stable
October 8, 2023 at 9:24 pm #2228927I think only a long Twins at bat could keep Pablo out of the 7th….that would likely be a good thing to happen…
October 8, 2023 at 9:24 pm #2228929If they make it 7-0 after this inning you take him out and keep him fresh.
