Didnt the Twins get destroyed by them this year? I mean, they held their own with basically everyone else, but if memory serves I think the Braves torched them, but I think that was back in June when they just were not hitting.

Professionals that have been there before (many times) vs. guys that are just happy to be there..pretty obvious.

Unfortunately this was never looking good for the Twins. Verlander vs Ober. It’s basically a throw away game to get to Lopez and Gray now. Throw your lower leverage arms hope the bats can time up some of the relievers and put something together for the next few games. But I can’t stress enough, that the home run or bust Twins have been back since the playoffs started. The guys that were finally hitting the ball where it was pitched (Kepler, Jeffers, Wallner) are back to swinging only for home runs, and the Twins will not score if that keeps up.

Man did they need that. Bomb for Polanco. Hopefully that gives them some life even if they don’t get all the way back.

all it takes is for one guy in that pen to be off a bit

the bats have squared up balls all game long just had some bad breaks. best break was when Verlander got yanked tho
