Could have sold high a few times when he peaked but this regime is a little wet behind the ears. They thought they got a deal when they guaranteed him 100 million of Pohlad’s money.

another Twin to the disabled list,Joe Ryan. Called up Dallas Kuechel. I thought they got all new training department, may need to look at another new change next year.

Ryans DL will have nothing to do with health. It will be to work on mechanics and the mental part of all the homeruns given up.

I was worried they would lose him after the release but read that there was a 2 day grace period so this is great news…..I think? Dominating AAA is one thing. Wonder if he is good Kuechel or bad Kuechel? I’ll settle for good enough but with this offense, it might not be enough.

Brad Radke junior? They tried to fix his preparation and it never worked. Hey at least Joe spreads his dongs out over multiple innings!

So it seems being in first place isn’t good enough. Viking, Wild, Puppie fans all mocking the Twins. Pretty funny when you think about it.

Last night Twins beat the Diamondbacks. 3 more homeruns, Kepler, Taylor & Polanco. 12 more strikeouts also.

    Still in first place.

If they learned anything tonight, Moran cannot be trusted in tight games. I hope they feel Thielbar is back to his old self. Solid game tonight. Would be nice to see if they can pull off a sweep and go on a streak of some sort and maybe gain some confidence.

Kepler and jeffers are hot lately. Polanco had a bad day at the plate but it’s nice to have him back in the lineup

August 7th and the Twins are still in first place after pounding Detroit, despite all their flaws.

Hate to have this attitude, but with the division we’re in it’s not a big accomplishment. KC – bottomed out rebuild, Det – rebuilding, Chi – sold off, Cle – sold off. Seems the offense is showing some signs of life now that Buxton is out of the lineup though so that’s encouraging. Would hope Gallo sees very few ABs the rest of the way with the young guys holding their own.

Dont rag on Gallo hes a great hitter. Seen this morning seen since May hes hitting .161 and struck out 94 out of 180 AB.

well they sure pounded the lowly Tigers tonight! I think we can all agree they might win ONE playoff game with their pitching coupled with a random offensive outburst if they even hold on long enough.

We are no doubt not a great team, however if there is one thing that works in the post season consistently, it’s great pitching. For that reason I’m more hopeful this year than in any year in the past 10+ years.

They couldn’t get it done with prime Mauer, Morneau, Santana, list goes on. No reason to be hopeful this year, or really any year with the Pohlad’s at the helm. Hats off to you guys sticking’ with it.

The problem there is that they really didnt have much after those 3. I mean there were some other pieces that were decent, but this could be the best starting pitching they have had in decades, bullpen may be suspect but Jax seemed to have turned it around and Duran can be unhittable at times. I like their chances and the bats have seemed to wake up a bit with Correa now coming to life, Kepler returning to how he hit several years ago and the smattering of young guys with Lewis nearing a return too.

Lewis coming back will be key I think? Where are they going to put him tho? 3rd and move Polanco? Move scrub to DH? Where do they park the Buck truck when his owwie heals?

    So many questions……

Yeah Lewis coming back does pose that problem about where he goes and he comes out. Id think 3rd is the most logical spot.

one of them may have to play first as Solano and Kiriloff are hurt and Gallo is not doing anything to keep himself in the lineup. I would say Lewis would really help our lineup especially against lefties, but he seems to not be able to stay of the Dl either.

I wouldn’t say they had little else. Guys named Hunter, Cuddyer, heck even Punto hit near 300 a couple years. Joe Nathan was about as good as closers get for a few years. That 06 season will always sting with Liriano just being insane and then getting hurt. Kind of crazy to look at the stats from those days compared to now, almost all the regulars hit 275+ With a few over 300. Now hardly anyone sniffs 250

Glad to see the annual reference to not being able to win because of the Pohlads ownership. People forget ’87 & ’91 were the years that Joe Bagadonuts and his family spent their way to the World Series Championships. That was before those cheapskates the Pohlads took over. Thats 2 more Championships than the Wilfs & McCombs have with the Vikings. 2 more than Taylor has with the Puppies. Also 2 more than the big spenders of the Wild.

You can’t win the play-offs if you aren’t invited in.

Keep ripping on them, they just keep hanging onto first place in spite of what everybody thinks.
