Real question is what they do with him when Polanco and Lewis are back and Julien no longer has a position to play.

Must’ve gotten a fresh shipment of Sheboygan’s in. One more and he’ll be batting .200 again!

Best part of China Dolls homeruns is they are against the White Sux.

    7-1 after 5 I think.

Ryan is starting to scare me with all these home runs. At least the offense is working.

Polanco is going to start playing 3b in St Paul to make room for Julien.

Ryan has never blown anyone away with his talent. he reminds me of a slightly better version of Brad Radke which is a nice compliment really.

So now they need to make room for Polanco? they could never find room for a batting champ and i fully expect them to fk this up too. If they plan on contending this year, you have to sell high on the amish kid.

Any idea if the pitch calling is coming from the dugout? I believe Tom Kelly called every pitch of every game. I know Ryan can always miss the spot, but the first pitch of the game homers are to ironic. Like, maybe it’s Rocco’s game plan the other team is onto.

The entire AL East has a better record than the Twins.
    Just saying.

^^^^^^^^^^we all know how mediocre they are

they do however have the 2nd best starting pitching in all of baseball and pretty solid defense. those bats will get going eventually. i still believe they win 90 or so games this year. i want to see some moves at the deadline.

Mets might be sellers…..Pete Alonso please!

I don’t know for sure but the catchers aren’t looking into the dugout every pitch so that tells me the catchers are calling the game. I’m fine with them making room for Polanco. He was one of their best hitters for three weeks before he re injured his hamstring. If they can keep him on the field and at third, you would have Polanco, Correa, Julien and Kirilloff. If the kids keep swinging the way they are thats a great infield.

so Buxy can go 150% on the bases but can’t play CF couple times a week to give him some comfortability?

imma give a shout out to Balazovic. top prospect who floundered in the minors for years with average numbers and never got a shot. now out of necessity he is fitting in just fine as a pro against pro offense.

do we know what is up with Stewart? they may as well lick their wounds with Lopez and just cut him at this point. no confidence he can do anything besides mopping up. business is business.

While I agree business is business weren’t you one of the guys ripping the Twins for giving up on David Ortiz?

It’s a fine line between a guy being “done” and a mechanical problem or worse yet a problem between the ears. Twins brass will need to figure that out and proceed from there I suppose.

In the meantime they are in first place.

Brock Stewart has a shoulder or elbow issue. I think he’s out until at least august. I know he hasn’t started any rehab yet.

Wow. Dead all game long and three runs in the ninth to tie. I’m not sure I really believe it but these guys are starting to learn how to hit.

That was after putting up a meager 13 strikeouts over 8 innings. What we have here is absolute proof the White Sux suck. wink

If that win doesn’t prove to this team that swinging for the fences all the time doesn’t work, I don’t know what will. Couldn’t do ANYTHING all game long and they made the choice to hit the ball where it was pitches from the ninth on and came back and won the game.

Man, I was about to write how unhittable Jax looks tonight but I didn’t want to jynx him. Then he gets jumped. That was painful.

Stumbled across the Twins game on ESPN+ The Ocho (Spanish broadcast, since I don’t have Bally’s) in time to see them give up the go ahead bomb in the 9th and then answer back. That was a fun ending!

The last 2 games have been very entertaining! The night before they were down 3-0 in bottom of 9th and clawed their way back to end up winning.

Yeah it’s been exciting to say the least. At least they are coming out on the right side of things. I’m really kind of excited about Maeda. He’s been pretty darn good since coming back from his injury especially his last three or four. If he holds it together for the rest of the season that would be another big boost to the rotation. If they can get a corner outfielder that can get Gallo out of the lineup and an above average arm for the pen, they might be a tough team to beat if the lineup keeps things going. They should be buyers at the deadline. I dont expect a huge move but some improvements should definitely be able to be made.
