    or maybe its the A’s?

Definitely the A’s. Its more or less like playing a worse version of the Royals.

Reality sets back in when they play teams like Atlanta or Baltimore.

Think I heard the Twins are 38-11 when scoring 4 runs.

That’s what improved pitching will do. Does any of the brain trust have the balls to sit Buxton? Apparently not. Does Buxton have something on them? coffee

I’d sit him, bring up Larnach who is destroying AAA and put him in the DH spot for good.

For a little good news, our first round pick from last year and top prospect in the system, Brooks Lee, is hitting .280 with 9 HR and 58 RBI in 75 games in Double A. He will probably fill the third or second base hole in a couple years.

Don’t look now but our savior is in St Paul……Dallas Keuchel has started 4 games for the Saints and has a 0.90 ERA…..We’re coming!!!!!!

I’ll beat my same dead horse again. He should have been sat a while ago.
They can’t afford to sit their “star” player though and need to keep reminding us during the broadcast how great he is. Seems like every other game there’s a new stat to show his incredible “hits w projected power” or some such nonsense.
Getting to be a joke really.
I understand their position in some regards but just pull the plug and help us out here already.
The youngsters seems to be doing well and THEY are fun to watch.
Tough pitch to get called out lookin to end the game last nite though.

Everyone complained that Sano was to fat and couldnt hit anything. His career stat line. .234AVG, 162HR, 418RBI in 2502AB. Buxton .238AVG, 113HR, 291RBI in 2231AB. So Bucky needs 49HR and 127RBI in his next 271 at bats to be even as good as the terrible Sano. Ya that aint gonna happen.

Here’s a novel idea, move Buxton down in the lineup and let him play some in the field. Take some pressure off by hitting 7/8/9, and let his mind focus on defense once in a while so he’s not solely focused on his slump.

My favorite move lately has been hitting Kirilloff 9th and Kepler who’s batting .200 in the 4 spot. Brilliant.

Especially if he can hit the ball the other way.

they would never hurt his precious feelings like that.

just put the game on and he is not in the lineup? how bout take a few days off and voluntarily hit some live BP? maybe put him out in center and see if it helps out keeping him engaged? this BS of wear and tear is poppycock.

put that scrub Julien at DH for a while

Some of these guys are actually learning how to hit again. Kirilloff is fun to watch. I couldn’t stand Mauer but watching balls go out oppo is always fun and that’s what Kirilloff is reminding me of lately.

By the way, The Scrub is hitting .300 now and is our best hitter…… whistling

    The Scrub.

The name of the game is pitching and hitting. There are many players playing that are good hitters and not the best fielders. Ideally, you want both but you have to hit the ball to score runs. My next door neighbor’s kid made it to Double A with the Twins and was moving up faster than Sano and Rosario. His hitting stalled out at that level and he was done.

What was Kepler thinking when he stopped on Windmill’s windmill?

It really does look like they’ve finally swallowed their pride (or maybe stupidity) and are consciously trying to hit the ball where it’s pitched. Novel idea, I know, but look at this lineup now. Correa is looking like Correa, Julien is hitting .309 and has 8 HR and darn near a double a game, Kirilloff is finding his stroke, hell Kepler is even doing it some. They are starting to score runs again because of it.

If this isn’t a perfect successful case study for hitting the ball where it’s pitched, these new age baseball strategists are never going to get it.

Twins are in 1st place in the division, and for once have starting pitchers. Who are they, or should be, looking at trading for? Plouffe mentioned Paul Goldschmidt on Jomboy, and I heard Ohtani is available… rotflol

They aren’t going to get Goldschmidt, but I could see them trying to get Aronado. A gold glove 3rd baseman that can hit and drive in runs would be huge.

I was the guy who said they would never get Donaldson so I’m staying quiet on the Arenado subject.

The team is good enough to win as constructed, they just need to hit and ditch the platooning thing.

I’m skeptical of the bullpen still but if they can keep it together and the starters can go 7, they have a chance.

you won’t hurt my feelings bruh. that scrub being our best hitter is not saying much of our offense. i hope he takes Buston’s spot at DH because he is an obvious liability in the field. probably why Rocky won’t use him daily.

Sounds like Polanco is hitting well in St Paul for his rehab assignment and Rockhead said he doesn’t think he can take Julien out of the lineup so something is going to have to give. Buxton is sitting for the second game in a row tonight.

I’ve been on Kepler all year but the last two weeks he has even been trying to hit it where it’s pitched and he’s looked pretty good. Can’t believe it but it’s happening.

Rockhead said he doesn’t think he can take Julien out of the lineup so something is going to have to give.

Did he really say that? Then Buxton needs to prove himself in St. Paul before he gets back in the line-up.
(Still walking behind the band wagon). lol
