Jorge Lopez going on the restricted list. Sounds like mental health issues. Hope he’s ok other than the on field struggles.

just flipped the game on and see i didn’t miss much. Lopez needs a break, he has been brutal to watch. finally get to see Balazovic! seems like he has been in the minors for 5 years. maybe he just needs big league experience instead of being a career minor leaguer?

Well I guess the final verdict is in. No China Doll in the field this year. For that matter he isn’t much of a hitter anymore either. Pretty sad to see what has become of the Twins big promises or Sano & Buxton leading the Twins for years and years.

Dropping 3 of 4 to Detroit at home is something for Rocco to be quite proud of. We haven’t seen something like this around here since the Vikings lost 41-0 a few years back.

Pretty embarrassing that they won’t even put him out there for one freaking inning.

You really want a guy with 60 year old knees out there? I remember getting ripped for wanting to get rid of him years ago…..ENJOY

I also wanted to kick Buxton to the curve about 4 years ago when there was rumors we could trade him to New York mets. I new then he was injury prone and would stay on the field for more then half the year. With out his gold glove in the outfield he is an just an above average hitter.

I don’t even care that he’s not in CF. But when you can’t even stay on the field as a DH AND you’re hitting .200, you’re not who you’re supposed to be even at this point in his career.

Same with Kepler and Polanco. They are both blocking promising young prospects from stepping in. There is ZERO reason Kepler is still starting. At least Polanco is hurt so that Julien scrub can be in the lineup for awhile….. mrgreen

Fun stat I saw yesterday, the Twins are slugging .335 for the month of June. Arraez’s season batting average is higher than our team slugging percentage……I’m still fine with that trade, but man, that is one crazy stat.

We are stuck with Buxton and his contract.
In that “hell” like we were with Parise and Suter.
Hopefully theres SOMETHING in his contract that we can use to our advantage.

Well he sure won’t be getting any bonuses that would’ve made him a lot higher paid. He’s contract isn’t terrible for what it could’ve been.

Eddie Rosario, who the Twins didn’t have room for in favor of Buston and Kepler, is hitting .265 13 HR 37 RBI’s and .816 OPS.

Yes but most of his stats have been in the last couple of weeks. He wasn’t even starting for a while.

Including his first AB tonight, Buston is 0-13 with 8 Ks since coming off the IL. He’ll hit one HR with his eyes closed and they’ll proclaim “he’s back!”

Kinda makes you wonder if he isn’t still pissed cuz they won’t let him play the field? I never thought he really was what he showed during that 1 month stretch last year but he isn’t this bad either.

It’s like taking a Kentucky Derby horse and hitching it to a plow.

He has 219 AB which would put him 2nd on the Twins behind Correa. And he’d lead the team in each of those stats.
    I’d take him back today.

Arreaz is 4-4 in the 6th inning tonight. Trying for his 3rd 5 hit game in the last 3 weeks.
I’d take him back today also.

I agree Eddie is on a hot streak. But I saw enough of him the first time around. Theres a lot of hot dog in that kid and when he’s cold he’s really cold. Also I can’t compare being on the Braves with being on the Twinks, but I see your point.

Arraez deal I’m still fine with. Twins needed starting pitching badly. You have to pay to get a decent starter these days.

I’m still waiting for Pablo to show how he is a top of the rotation starter that they claim him to be. never seen him pitch in Miami but he sure reminds me of Jose Berrios who they couldn’t get rid of fast enough.

Top of rotation or not he keeps them in the game as a rule. My old memory still remembers Rocco burning up bullpens by July 1 yearly because the starters were getting bombed in the first 3 innings. As bad as things look now, I still lay it all on the lack of offense. They either score over 10 or less than 3 it seems

oh i get it but when you deal a batting champ for starting caliber pitching, you would want to see a little better return by now. Pablo has at least a dozen starts and is probably the 4th best starter in the rotation. maybe he is a slow starter?

i don’t trust the decision making by this group but what the hell can i do about it other than complain.

With Polanco, Miranda around in the spring and Lewis due back at some point where were they going to play Arreaz?

Bullpen blew up again. Lopez left after 5+ after putting 2 on in the 6th. It was 3-3 at the time.

I don’t mind the deal but I hate this statement. You find a place for the best batting average in baseball. Especially on this club.

i put Arraez at 2nd and deal Polanco and picks for a starter. it is his natural position. i don’t worry about Miranda and Lewis until i have to.

I see Arreaz was 5-5 again tonight. Hitting.400, pretty impressive for a little guy. But I guess good things happen when you actually hit the ball vs striking out.

Pretty good beat down by Boston tonight 9-3.

He has more hits than Buxton, Polanco and Kepler combined.
More hits than any two players on the Twins roster combined.

    It’s pretty impressive.
Or the Twins are that unimpressive.

Really going the way of last year it seems, other than having solid starting pitching. No punch in the lineup, lots of injuries and basically everyone underperforming. Nice watching the CWS the last few days, actually entertaining baseball.

Whats the reason they are scared to fire Rocco? I think coaches take the blame to much most of the time but this dipstick has proven he sucks time and time again. Take out 2019 when they hit 300+ homers he is 223W and 234L. Oh ya and they won 101 games that year and still couldnt get a single playoff win.

Because he goes along with the awful strategy Falvene wants to impose on this team.

Last year’s Twin’s stats. I know the Twins needed pitching but give up the player that contributed the most runs (RBI and runs scored). doah

And night after night Rocco says he’s ok with how things are going. Time for a sweeping out of the whole staff!

He said today that there hasn’t been one day since spring training started that China Doll was healthy enough to play the outfield.

Yikes!! I saw some emotion when Julian struck out, Rocco will need to nip that in the bud. coffee
