Twins 2023 Thread

Not a stellar start. I just flipped it on and it’s 4-0 already. China Doll playing tonight? Rocco didn’t sound real convincing when talking about him.

I’m starting to think this season is going to be a mirror image of last season. We will stay in first place in the division until august and then Cleveland will catch and surpass us because our bullpen goes to complete poop.

I’d like to see Rocco start the same 9 guys for 3 weeks and see what they can do. I have never been a big platoon guy. Stick your best out there and let them go and see what happens. Ober seems to have regained form, now if only the bats would make a rare appearance.

I would fire Rocco immediately after the game for taking out Kirilloff in the third inning just because a lefty came into the game. What a freaking joke. Take out your hottest hitter for a guy hitting .160. What a freaking moron.

How do you ever build confidence in your younger players?

Lets see, my starter gives up 4 in the first, then stuffs them through the 5th. Who can I bring in to immediately ignite the Giants offense?

I think his style leave a lot to question.
THe announcers were trying to spin his taking out Kiriloff last nite and it was pathetic. “Rocco will make a move when he needs to if he feels its the right move blah blah blah”
I agree, let em play together a while and form some chemistry and see what happens.
Ober was NOT ON to start with but recovered so I felt that was a “win” in that sense.

A quick jaunt to the standings shows that the Blue Jays, at 2 games over .500, are in last place in the AL East.

The Twins, also at 2 games over .500, are leading the AL Central.

What a dumpster fire of a division.

Ober pitched well after the first but man that was a rough start. The bats just cannot wake up. They need to call up Lewis who is just tearing it up in STP.

The lineup he has played against lefties hasn’t done a damn thing all season and the second the Giants bring a lefty in he switches to that lineup. What joke. I’m starting to wonder how much of it is him or if the GM idiots are pulling the strings. I don’t care how talented a lineup you have, if you’re manager keeps pulling this crap you aren’t going to be successful.

Jeremy is correct. Only problem is where do they play him? Probably third but Farmer has been one of their only clutch hitters this season so I’m not sure. It sounds like he’s not real thrilled about having to play OF so I doubt they’ll try that stupidity again.

Can’t one of them play second? I think it is time for China Doll to dust off his glove.

Gallo is gimpy, the injuries are starting to pile up again.

Got the long ball working a bit tonight. Might have a shot if Sonny keeps it on the rails. If he keeps them off the board he’ll expand his league leading ERA numbers.

You nailed it but it wasnt because of Gray he was fantastic.

Tough way to lose last night for sure.

The Twins are still right where they need to be. .500 baseball will probably win the paltry AL Central.
