-1 isn’t moneyline.
Shows you what I know about sports betting LOL Id say its a good chance they score more beat them by 2. The Twins havent exactly been putting up a ton of runs, but it is in NY with that oddball ballpark.

Can the Yankees beat the Twins by 2 or more tonight?
Last MN team to win at Yankee Stadium was Gopher Football. I don’t recall the exact stat, but the Twins were like 0 for the last 162 games ATS at Yankee stadium. (Obviously not that many, but it was a crazy #)
On a positive note, the Twins have done a good job reshaping their bullpen. From the Athletic, “After two weeks of action, Twins relievers rank No. 2 in average fastball velocity at 95.6, up 1.4 mph from last season.”
Yeah, finally have some flamethrowers that can miss bats..catching up to the rest of the league.
The ridiculous Terry Ryan ‘pitch to contact’ philosophy set this team back more than a decade if not more….
Well look at that. Buxton in the lineup after that crazy collision yesterday. I’m honestly shocked. Bases loaded in the first, lets hope they do something. Julien’s first MLB hit was off the wall in RF to start the game. Kid is going to be good.
Well good and bad news.
Having the Yankees -1 is going to cost me.
But having the game total “over” will balance it out.
Well we wanted some offense!
Hope we don’t use up all our production!
Even better is since it’s game 1 of 4 game series it should have huge implications for the series getting to the bullpen this early!
Did I mention Julien is awful good?
I also didn’t realize Michael A Taylor had some pop in his bat. How about the bottom of this lineup?
gotta be safe to trot Pagan out there to mop this up………right?
Hopefully! Then he can’t pitch tomorrow!
That’s one helluva way to start the series! Another great start by Ryan!
Correa coming through tonite. Anyone know why Varland was starting? I only caught the game since the 5th.

Pushed todays starter (Mahle) back to tomorrow and skipping Maeda’s start for rest.
Nice shot by Correa today to get the W. That and actually someone who can close a game.
That’s a game a normal Twins team doesn’t come back in. Varland showed a lot being able to settle down after the first inning and get a quality start.
I think I’ve been most impressed with Lopez out of the pen. This is the guy I thought we were going to see when they traded for him at the deadline. He’s been great.
I think it’s good they are letting Maeda skip a start. Especially if he said he was a little fatigued. How nice is it to have starters like Varland and Ober in AAA that you can call up for a spot start or if a guy goes down for a bit?

oh good, thought maybe someone needed tommy john already.
Hopefully can keep the momentum going and keep winning close games – 6 of the 10 wins have been by 2 runs or less. I’m sure more runs will be scored as the weather warms up but I think this team will have to win a lot of 4-3, 3-2 type of games. We were 12-9 in April last year and 18-12 in May and then losing records in every month thereafter but I think this team is constructed a bit better; hopefully injuries don’t get the best of us again.

It’s sneaky power. Let’s hope he can continue getting the bat on the ball. He had trouble doing that earlier.

I’m definitely not dragging EPG’s lawnchair out yet, but like you said, the rotation is excellent, the lineup will hopefully stay healthier, and the defense this team has is MUCH better than last years club as well.
Big start for Mahle this afternoon. Should be a good gauge of what his potential is.
And that’s the Alcala I know. Can’t hit spots and hanging breaking balls.
Lopez has his worst outing, gives up 2 on a dinger in 6 innings. Take that all season long…
Yep, Lopez was good but Cole is better. Or else our hitters are worse. Your choice.
Probably a combo of all three. Cole is a machine, throws great pitches and doesn’t walk many. Buxton just struck out for the ninth straight at bat. DH certainly seems to be keeping him fresh. And Kepler is under the Mendoza line.
