It flies in Target Field when it warms up. Especially now that the concrete has finally settled….. mrgreen

I think Lopez will rebound here. His arm is falling behind his body when he’s coming to the plate, which is why he’s missing inside with his fastball so much. He’ll reign it in. Nice quick second inning for him.

maybe you should have applied for pitching coach? mrgreen

actually i was wondering why the Twins just gave the job to Pete Maki this year. i was thinking they would bring in a guy with some experience but maybe this new age management does it “their way”. roll

I pitched into college and realized after getting shelled for half a season that I should stick to the outfield. I also thought it was strange that Maki got the job out of nowhere. But who knows, maybe he’s some secret savant.

Miranda is pounding everything into the ground. Not sure what his deal is right now.

Helluva turnaround for Lopez. 18 in a row after giving up 2 runs in the first. Vasquez is a HUGE improvement at catcher. He is adjusting the game plan with the starter after going through the lineup and seeing what the hitters are sitting on. They’ve completely changed game plans in 2 of the last 3 games I’ve watched lately and shut them down.

Kyle Farmer and Mike Cuddyer could be long lost brothers. anyone agree?

Wow. That wasn’t a bad pitch and Robert crushed it.

i guess they got to walk it off? Duran is human but got to tip your cap to Robert on that first pitch? sucks but if they can take 2 of 3 against Cease, Lynn and Giolito, that would be an early victory.

Another game where our offense has been pretty bad. They gotta figure something out.

yes, yes it did! boy those bases being 3″ bigger and no more shifting along with the pitch clock have sure made it fun to watch baseball again!

Another key for starters going deeper in the game? He was a good addition to the club.

It has a little to do with it. But reality is that this rotation is so much better than what they ran out there last year I think anybody (even Baldelli) is comfortable letting these guys go 7 innings.

Eduard Julien is moving up to the big club. Best hitter they have in the minors and is an on base machine with some pop. Really looking forward to seeing him at the MLB level.

Another good win today and another series win. Solid start by Gray but we lost another player. Kyle Farmer took a fastball to the chops. Pretty ugly. Hope he’s ok.

    Yanks tomorrow.

Well, Buxton made a base running blunder and didn’t come on deck when he was due up. Looked to be OK walking off the field but he could have 1) popped something in his left knee, 2) concussed himself with his head hitting the ground or 3) injured his neck. Why didn’t Buxton go behind the fielder? If the fielder decided to try and tag Buxton it would be harder to that way. We’ll see if he ends up being hurt.

I’m sure we’ll see a day or two off for him. I’m hoping with Farmer out Correa will play today because the are getting pretty short on infielders.

I think the umpire was in the way.

I looked at the replay again and the ump was in the way also. A good “Euro” step to the left, then right would have got him through unscathed.

What are the predictions for today’s game against the Yanks? I haven’t put a wager on a baseball game in a long time, so maybe tonight I’ll dabble with it on the radio while I am working on changing oil in a mower and tractor.

I need the IDO Twins crystal ball.

So are you telling me that Yankees (-1) at even money is something to look into???

Dont take gambling advice from me unless it involves pull tabs. LOL I dont think I have ever placed a bet on the money line.

    -1 isn’t moneyline.

Moneyline would pay out with a 1-run win. -1 would require a 2 run win (winning by 1 would be a push).

Can the Yankees beat the Twins by 2 or more tonight?
