As I mentioned a week ago, I’m a bit pessimistic about the offense and they haven’t done much other than the 10-run game to sooth that.

I agree, I think we will see some stretches where the lineup doesn’t score much. But to be fair, they faced the reigning Cy Young winner, and a kid (Luzardo) that looks like he is on his way to being another top starter for the Marlins rotation. He was really good today. I’m not making excuses for our lineup, but they had a tough assignment the last two games.
11 k’s for Gray today in 5 innings. Should be easily able to go 6 innings. Now if we could only get some freaking offense.
Gleeman and the Geek were on KFAN for Barreiro earlier this week, apparently the Twins TV deal with Bally’s was for $40M a year. Add in the $118M (in 2018, so likely much higher now) in revenue sharing from the league, and well you guys can math…That doesn’t factor in tickets, concessions, local ad revenue/sponsorships etc.
Gray finishes 7 innings. Career high 13 K’s. What a start for the home opener. Astros gave us one last inning too. Need a couple more to feel good.

Well I guess that makes sense that their payroll is around $150 million.
Seems appropriate their first game at home in their new softball uni’s ends in a walk-off hit by Farmer.
Great win against a good team. That’s the Sonny Gray I was hoping to see this year.
Pagan time!
Ha! Buxton has been on the ball all season so far. Nice to see him put one in the seats.
and Buxy actually did it with a couple ducks on the pond for once!

Right! I think those were his first RBI’s of the season. He has looked good at the plate though. Now we need Correa to get going and this team could do some damage.
Windmill Watkins strikes again.
If you didn’t post it, I would have.
Mahle didn’t look bad yesterday just got hit. And the bats were silent. Good chance to put the White Sox further away as they are already under 500. We’ll see how Maeda looks in his second start.
Looks like I might have been wrong on Trevor Larnach. He looks like a much better hitter so far this year. Lots of season left but so far he is swinging like he has a clue about what he is doing.
I’m kinda liking Provius on TV with Mornie.
China doll need a day off again or is he afraid of Cease?
I like Provus MUCH better than Dick. As for Larnach, he was really good last season, but got hurt twice and only played like 20 games. But he hit well and with power.
I’m starting to get flashbacks of last season already with all these guys out with “tightness”. Apparently the new training staff isn’t making much of a difference. I really hate seeing guys like Willy Castro in there just wasting a spot. This offense needs to get going.
Losing to the White Sux at home is never a good thing.
They had their chances against Cease.
In typical White Sux fashion they couldn’t catch a beach ball.

He hit a ball saturday that was fielded wide of third. Kind of off balance throw and he was out by a full step or better. He used to beat out fairly routine ground balls if they were fielded even a little deep. He either didnt run hard or he has slowed the hell down from not doing anything in spring training and needing every third day off as a DH. Maybe a little Maueresq.
I’ve thought he’s looked slower on the bases this year also. I think it’s probably a combination of being careful and maybe losing a step.
Found a new sponsor for the 3rd base coach’s box.
Took me a while to find one without the “Quality Lives Here” phrase.
Pablo Lopez goes tonight hoping to right the ship again. Need the bats to get going.
Buxton playing, no Correa. Hopefully he’ll be back tomorrow.
must be the humidity but the ball is JUMPING off the bats today…..sounds like every ball is getting squared up
not going to be a pitchers dual in all likelihood?
