I lay this series squarely on the bats. Texas pitching is bad yet we make them look like the Mets staff.

All these short 5 & 6 inning, twice through the order is coming back to bite Rocco as the bullpen is burning out.

Yeah the lineup other than Nick Gordon and Miranda has been brutal.

Arraez has been slapping it around pretty well. I enjoy the way he plays the game.

We will probably shut him down for next year. He had a good run this year. made it to the end of August.

Pretty cool this time of year for a team thats a game or two out of first place to have your DH bat with the tying run on second and nobody out. Oh wait hes batting .095. WTF.

I don’t remember a team being such a Common Man Progrum, best of the lousiest and lousiest of the best.

If Verlander was on the Twins, I’m sure old Baldelli would have pulled him now and congratulated him on a great five innings.

Rocco really has a hard time counting to two. This is the third time I can remember that he has exceeded the two mound visit rule…..What an idiot.

Bremer was saying Verlander hardly ever puts a breaking ball up and over the plate. The Twins pitchers do it all the time. lol

Bremer actually is correct on this. location is the key when you aint got the nasty stuff. SOOOOOO many meatballs against pro hitters but we all know that they aint winning games scoring zero runs.

its unfortunate but the bats are dead and so might be meaningful games in September…..good thing i got a back up plan! i might have a few more games in me but its not looking good?

I lost interested in the twins long ago. Probably back when it has been difficult to find them on TV. Me and my son who is six about once a week pick a local ammeter game and attend. We live around St.cloud so there are many good teams and small local parks to attend. You can find cold beer and a cheap burger and some excellent baseball. If we are unable to attend two of the regions are covered by local radio guys that are awesome to listen to. Four of the local teams play On Saturday so Ill spend most of my day probably smoking a pork butt and listening to those games.

Prices are cheap seats are good and a beer is usually three dollars. lots of great fields out in Stearns county to see and attened.

Yeah, town ball is waaaaay more fun than this. The whole debacle on the mound started with Altuve – SQUARELY on him. He started it from what was a brush against his thigh. Don’t care about Sanchez’s looks back, nothing would have happened had Altuve just headed down to first. Did he think he was getting thrown at on purpose? To what end? You already hace the lead, runner on with VERLANDER cruising on the mound! WHY would he intentionally hit you?
What a S-it show all around!
Buxton? Good god – it will never get better – he is only getting older. He is flimsy and that’s the sad truth. Rst him all you want. Get him to good numbers again and trade his ass to someone we don’t play alot for some DECENT pitching

Same here, although we haven’t gotten to many amateur games this year, been more backyard baseball. Amateur State Tourney continues this weekend in Dundas, Miesville and Faribault with lots of Stearns County and Victory League teams still in it. Other than this thread, when my parents have them on at the cabin and a spring training trip this year, the Twins and MLB are not even on my radar.

People are just so used to complaining about Buxton not playing, he has played in 73 games this year which is good for sixth on the team. The most games played by a Twin this year is Arraez with 84… Find something else to complain about, he’s been playing plenty this year.

    This didn’t age well. coffee

I honestly think it might be time to shut him down for the year and hope for better health next year.

he’s been overhyped by the media/team since they drafted him to be the savior and so many bought the hype. i would have traded him years ago so i could care less if he plays or sits. poor guy can’t bat his weight and has the body of a 60 year old man. its not like him or the 35 million dollar man are carrying the franchise so hopefully he heals up but i doubt it.
