I don’t think there is any doubt the Twins won the Urshela for Donaldson trade with the Yankees.

6 shutout innings from good but very sweaty Bundy tonight. must have been a revenge game! bats still quiet tho. maybe time for the 35 million boy wonder to put the team on his back if he wants to cash in another bag next year.

He has both RBI tonight, he is far from the problem and not overpaid IMO.

China Doll is making The Fat Kid look like a contact hitter. 3 more strikeouts tonight after 3 last night.

His bat is cold as ice… But, that play makes up for it. If he plays every day in center field and hits 200 I am ok with that for now.

Why why why is Pagan still wearing a Twins uniform?

Because we have a $36 million guy with a .220 ave and a superstar game changer batting about the same that plays every three days.

Production-wise, maybe slightly. Gotta remember we gave them their starting SS (Kiner-Falefa) as well. Sanchez was also in the deal, an average catcher they were itching to replace. Probably the biggest thing that would tip the scales towards the Twins was getting rid of Donaldson’s contract.

In more important news, man we have had a lot of bad losses since the all-star break!

To be fair, Correa is hitting .268. He’s pretty much on pace for a typical season for him – 20-25 HR, .270.

So glad I didn’t stay up and finish watching what turned into a debacle last night. WTF? So much for that bullpen help we got jester

Urshela, hitting better than Donaldson, fielding MUCH better than Donaldson, way more clutch than Donaldson. It was a great trade.

    Donaldson WAR 2.4
    Urshela. WAR 1.4

    Sanchez. WAR .5
    Kiner-Falefa WAR 1.6

Since money is only an issue with 1 team I think the Yankees are just fine with the trade.

I think the difference in WAR is surprisingly the Twins replacements at 3rd base have been Arraez and Miranda. Tough to get a lot of WAR on those two. His stats are better than Donaldson.

It was a good trade for both.

Agree just don’t think it was one sided at all.

    1-4 in California
    2 1/2 games behind Cleveland.
    Tied with Chicago for 3rd.

They are who we thought they were.

good thing most those games were past my bedtime and only caught some of the Angels games. obviously not a good trip. KC on deck so we will see how they respond. if they choke at least football is back!

0-18 with runners in scoring position the last 2 games, this team will be lucky to be over 500 at the end of they year, I bet we don’t sniff first place again the rest of the year.

I think I’m ready to call this one. I thought we had a chance (making the playoffs) with the moves they made at the deadline but now we can’t even get hits. Absolutely brutal. I think Rocco needs to go (surprise right?). But seriously. He has never gotten anything above average (or even average) out of his players since he’s been here. And when we do actually bring in good players they play worse here.

Only they aren’t in a play-off race. If they don’t win the division there will be no play-offs.

In other MLB news, if you spend 1/2 billion dollars in the off season you better show improvement. Rangers fire Woodward.

The rangers are the Twins of the south. They always get bats but never get any pitching.

How about Sonny Gray last night. He was unhittable. Hope he can keep that going. And the team figured out how to hit last night also.

By the way, this team ain’t Buxton’s anymore. It’s Miranda’s.
