Kiriloff started as an outfielder. So I’m not surprised.

My biggest takeaway from the game is Jake Cave should still be on the twins roster. 3 run HR and walk off hit in the ninth. chased

Jake Cave is an all-world AAA player and a below average major league hitter. Hard to think of anyone that had more chances than him over the last 5 years and just could not make the grade offensively.

Too many other young rising talented outfielders like Celestino that he would be blocking. I’d rather see Gordon or (gulp) Lewis in the outfield now than Caveman.

It was a joke Frydog. mrgreen

Sounds like just a bone bruise and a trip to the 10 IL for Lewis. Good news.

Anybody that thinks the Twins will win the division is on Kool aid.

Someone has to win the central. Only other real team is the Sox and they just can’t get/stay healthy. Anderson out now, but it’s not as if the central winner is a WS contender either way.

Guys were dropping like flies in Twins game today as well. Game was 9 innings but felt like guys got hurt in an inning and a half.
Didn’t see any of them just heard it on the radio in the boat.

Ha…..I’ll sip the kool aid! There are many things wrong with our first place club but I just like winners.

Baldelli is annoying and perplexing with some of his decision making.

Buxton did not ask to be called the best player in the world. All this added pressure must be getting to him but I never have been that high on him to begin with so?

Front office made some ok moves then some head scratching ones so mostly a wash?

Landing Correa was a gift so if they are still contending at the deadline, maybe moves will be made? Maybe Correa stays here longer than expected? No one knows all speculative so pass the kool aid please!

I think they have a shot at the central but that’s it. If Ryan and Sonny Gray stay good and Baldelli doesn’t kill the bullpen in the next two weeks they have a shot.

Buxton is starting to hit the ball hard again so it shouldn’t be long before he’s back on track. From what I’ve been reading his knee was bothering him more than anyone led on and you could tell watching him run the bases. He just wasn’t himself.

Nice to hear Jim Kaat doing the game with Bremer on TV. I got tired of LaTroy real quick.

Toronto. Yankees & Tampa Bay coming up. Win those series and maybe things will look different.

Latroy doesn’t bring a whole lot to the table but I LOVE his constant reaming of Bremer. That’s worth it for me.

If they go .500 in that stretch I’ll be happy.

*Correa on the Covid list today* That’s not gonna help.

More like the Twins picked the wrong time to throw him in CF.

Maybe, but with Correa one of the best SS in MLB coming back and with the slumping Buxton’s knee still balky… would you just leave Lewis down in AAA – or find a spot on the major league club to get him some at bats? He hasn’t played much CF, but at least some. Tough call either way…

No brainer for me. Lewis is a infielder and if you think he is your future shortstop he stays in the infield. It’s not like they are short of outfielders.

Ya have to wonder if Correa isn’t vaxed eh?

I would’ve kept him in the minors. You don’t want to mess this kid up if you are planning to make him your franchise SS. It’s just dumb. And now they got him hurt because of it. Not to mention you have Nick Gordon who has been good in CF who could’ve held the fort down until Celestino gets off the Covid list.

I might be wrong but I don’t think Correa is vaxxed. I thought I heard that somewhere.

Re: Correa, thats what I was getting at. He likely isn’t getting into Canada if he isn’t so this move deflects some criticism.

Not arguing… but too many guys hitting .200-.230 right now. Lewis can’t play catcher, but maybe could’ve been put at second base. Have always been high on Polanco personally but he’s underperforming and maybe needs a little pressure on him.

Actually a lot of those guys are up into the 250’s after the last week. Lots of guys hitting well right now, but I know what you mean.

Another huge start from Smeltzer. He might be pitching his way into the rotation for good.

I was wrong about Correa. He is vaccinated. So he will be able to play whenever he is back to normal. Apparently he’s having symptoms.

Frydog, I don’t see them bringing up Martin. He hasn’t looked great at SS this season. He’s going to most likely be moved to 3rd or OF before he is at the MLB level.

Is this correct? Did I hear Rocco pulled Archer after 57 pitches and a 2-0 lead? If true lets just cut to the chase and start the relivers. Lets get this bullpen burnt up by the 4th of July.

Doing it again tonight bringing Moran in leading 4-3 bottom of the 4th.

    I’m out, rasslin is on.

Yes he did. Archer said it was planned whatever that is worth. Not much to me.

Tonight was because the guy starting is trash. He did better than I thought and the Twins smashed Kikuchi. Lets hope they keep hitting.

I’m loving Cotton! If he keeps in anywhere near the K zone he is FILTHY! What a relief appearance from him. Springer K, Bichette pop out, Guerrero K and made him look silly!

I’m also going to reiterate that Miranda is here to stay.

and just like that he puts in Duffey after Cotton threw 20 pitches. also hats off for our new SS for making every play he has to make.

That was a huge win for this team. Any win in this next week is going to be important. Duffey is Duffey at this point. He is either going to hang everything and get crushed and walk two guys and get out of it.

Palacios was called the best defensive SS in the organization by many before Correa came. So don’t be surprised to see more from him in the field.

Apparently Garlick left late in the game with a mild hamstring strain. He’s even more fragile than Buxton.

I have a feeling Bundy will be serving up steak today. Our old pal Berrios is on the hill with a 5 plus ERA so maybe it turns into a slugfest? Kind of wish they got more of a return for him than just prospects.
I really thought Wes Johnson was going to be busy this year but it’s the training staff. I think Polanco is the only guy who hasn’t missed time this year.
