Baseball players are the biggest pu$$ies in all pro sports…

Its unreal how soft they are…

From bi-lateral leg weakness, to hip tightness, to my all-time favorite of lifting a piece of luggage off the carousel… meanwhile NHL and NFL guys continue to play on 1 leg or their jaw wired shut…

If a player sneezes Rocco pulls him from the game…

Now I know how you hockey guys probably feel when I post in the hockey thread…….It’s also May. They have 130 games still to play. If it was down the stretch and they are in the hunt I bet most of them don’t sit out. Same as in hockey. Guy pulls/tweaks something in October I guarantee he isn’t playing the next game or two. But it’s probably hidden by very descriptive “lower body injury” tag. Maybe he stubbed his toe.

However, I completely agree about Rocco being insanely cautious with everyone. It drives me crazy. I also wonder what the hell our training staff does because of all the nagging injuries our players seem to get……

Finding ways to win one run ball games. Not sure how, but they’re getting it done! Awful fun to have meaningful baseball games after April. jester

18-11 now I think. It seems the White Sux have righted their ship so the Twinks have to keep winning.

I agree 100%. If i had guys calling in sick because of aches and tenderness, i would tell them to go be a sandwich artist. It’s pretty embarrassing to miss as much time as the savior Buxton for playing a game. We talking bout a guy who missed time because he chipped his toof on a steak.
I don’t think rocco has been in lately…..still nursing his dry cough

It is frustrating that the salaries have gone up tremendously, especially for starting pitching, and they work far less. 5 innings seems to be a solid start anymore.
I get resting guys who are banged up; it’s difficult to hit 95 mph heaters when you’re healthy let alone when you have aches and pains. But you have to think a lot of these guys could play through the soreness. Long season I guess.

Hands down my favorite sport but I went off the deep end again when “Buxton is out – Rocco is “resting” him…..????
Really, he’s a good ball player for sure but if I’m a teammate I might get a little pissy after a while. What a prima donna. 5 innings IS a decent start these days – a joke too.
Now, Correa’s smashed fingers, that warrants a time out. Just throw Arraez out there more. He’s having fun, giving it 120%, plays old school ball, would probably play with a broken arm if they let him – HE is fun to watch.
Am I to believe my guy can’t throw 15 or 20 pitches on Saturday and not come in and throw 10-15 more on Sunday?! THey have some of the best trainers around, surely they can work their magic Saturday night to make sure his arm works on sunday.
Yes it’s a lot of games, that’s what off season training and conditioning are for. And these guys arent exactly playing hockey, football or god forbid, even basketball where they have to run for the whole game.

Sounds like Paddack might need surgery. That’s great.

Verlander vs Ryan, hope this one isn’t a blowout.

Shouldn’t be. The Astros aren’t exactly knocking the cover off the ball either and Joe Ryan has better number than Verlander so far. Should be a good pitchers duel hopefully.

So, Correa & Paddock to the DL, all is not well in Twinkie land.

Correa is retroactive to the 6th, so he will be back in 6 days. Paddack doesn’t sound good. Already getting a second opinion. Only good thing is if he goes down, Josh Winder stays. I don’t believe he’s given up a run in two starts.

Hip tightness. Who knows how long that’ll cost him with the way Baldelli keeps people out.

well they traded for him after knowing he had some injection in his elbow last year after complaining of pain. maybe now he will have time to get his mullett cut?

seems like chronic hip based on his history.

Biggest home series of the young season and you are missing Buxton & Correa. Not good for the on field team or for drawing people to the park.

no other team in baseball throws out less runners and gets thrown out more on the bases than the Twins…..change my mind.

You’re right. But guess what. That stuff doesn’t matter to analytics. That’s what Rocco thinks anyway.

It’s the new age catching stance that doesn’t work as much as anything.

To bad Tbro isn’t here to tell us how many pitches the pitch framing is turning into strikes. doah

I’m convinced Jeffers is COSTING the pitchers strikes. It sometimes works when you move your glove a few inches. But this idiot is moving it a foot every time. No crap they aren’t gonna call it when you make it that obvious.

Well last week felt a lot like 2021. Let’s hope Correa and the others come off the DL soon and our pitchers stop walking every other batter.

Paddock to the 60 day DL. That sucks. I like him but he’s probably going to have TJ.

well so much for the hitting drought…..Royce Lewis with his first dong and its a slam. such a cool moment for a guy we have been waiting to see for a long time. i don’t see how you send him back down once Correa heals up
