Is our 3rd base coach a rookie or can he just not judge our runners speed. Havent watched all the games but hes sent some guys on some real bad plays.

He was our first base coach the last few years. He has cost us about 4 runs so far this season. It takes time to get a feel for sending runners home. He’ll get better. Hopefully.

I’m guessing Correa is out a month at least. Sounds like they are hoping it won’t require surgery.

Good news for Correa, no fracture contrary to previous reports. They don’t expect him to miss a large amount of time. I’d guess they give him a series or two off. He won’t be able to grip a bat for a few days I would guess.

Can you explain the previous at bat where the ball hit Correas forearm, glanced off, hit his bat and went in fair territory?

That was pretty weird. Just like the ball that hit his hand, he was expecting a breaking ball and got a fastball, started his swing so his hands and back shoulder were rotated out already.

Kirilloff activated from DL. Lewis & Sands also called up.

Bundy & Arraez to the covid DL, Moran sent down.

I never wanted Kirilloff in left, if Larnach can swing as he is after being called back up I’m good with him. If Kirilloff can hit like he can he will be playing first for many years. Don’t know what will happen with your guy Miranda.

It is nice to see some depth around the field though.

Trying to remember who Pagan reminds me of. We had a closer a few years back that seemed to load the bases all time time……….

Don’t talk bad about Eddie. I happen to like when a close game ends at the warning track

I throw my remote at the tv everytime he brings in Duffey or Theilbar into a game that’s one or two runs difference.

Miranda is our new first baseman. He’s not going anywhere.

pitching is such a crapshoot no matter the talent. you could throw 102 and get rocked if the hitter is sitting on that pitch. you could throw soft and get balls hit right at the shift and be out of trouble or you could get rocked? I just want them to stay healthy and try to carve out a role on this team if they plan on competing. Pagan is not afraid of pressure so there is that

rotflol I’d be his barber. Might do a better job though. I just watched the kid a lot last year and really think he’s special. I’m glad to see him looking comfortable in the bigs. I think he d will improve with some time.

Fascinating how fast this roster turned over. Buxton, Kepler & Polanco are the only ones left from ’19.

Miranda at 3rd, Kirilloff at 1st and Gordon in left field. Other than Gordon in left this could be next years line-up.

Grey has done OK through 3 1/2.

Any idea why they took Gray out after 4 innings? Easing him back?

Yes. Our management is incredibly cautious with guys coming back from injuries. That was an absolute shot by Polanco.

That was the most pitches he had thrown this year.

Lack of scoring is going to catch up with them.

Same old twins as the last couple seasons. No baserunners and a HR here and there. Difference is the pitching has been great so far this year. But I think once Correa and Arraez come back they will start scoring again. With Larnach hitting and if Miranda can start getting into a groove, they could put up some runs regularly.

nice win today and thought I would share that you can now listen to the Twins by streaming games on Audacy. great option if you can’t get them on AM or FM. going to be awesome listening to games while fishing this summer

Somehow I missed Buxton leaving with hip tightness yesterday. I saw him run out a ground ball and it looked a little awkward so I was wondering what was going on. Hopefully he just has these little tweaks that he misses a game or two instead of months.

It’s all or nothing with that guy. Full speed ahead which I would rather have than guys loafing around the bases.

I see Larnach went on the DL. Almost like a few years ago when they were running pitchers in & out of the DL. They brought that catcher up again.
