I hope Kepler has a good year. .220, 20 hrs, and 55 RBI’s isn’t good enough. He needs to make a move this year.

Another good win today other than Ober’s injury. Hopefully it’s only a minor groin injury. Nice to see Correa come through big finally.

Coulda made some pretty good money betting that the Twins would sweep a homestand.

Hopefully they play well on the road and the weather turns. They should have some people in the stands to appreciate this.

I think I heard it was the first time since 2008 or 2012 that they’ve swept a homestand of 6 games or longer.

You are correct, I heard Punto comment on another site it was 2008…

Are the Twins on TV tonight? I can’t find them up here.

I see they are down 5-0 to Tampa already. Bad Bundy must have shown up.

Ha. That’s the Bundy I was expecting. Hopefully he doesn’t have to face the AL east much this year. They have pounded him his whole career.

I said Bundy’s not going to get away with the off speed stuff up in the zone for long.

I’m seeing a shift in Roccos managing….thus far at least. Seems he is letting the starters go longer than in the past. Does that mean he trusts the starters more or, does it mean he doesn’t trust the pen?

No reason to panic although there is a good chance they get swept in Tampa. They still need to get the bats going but I think they will be fine as the season moves along.

I’m enjoying them to this point anyway.

Nice job by Archer & Garlick today. It’s not over yet but they lead 5-1 in the bottom of the 7th.

The more I hear Bremer this year the less I think it was Blyleven saying all the goofy crap in years past.

I think it’s over now after that top of the ninth. That’s a nice rebound win after yesterdays pounding. Rays are a pretty good team too. I’ve been impressed with Archer so far. If he ever finds his location this year he could be another solid starter for us.

Nice to see Correa starting to hit. 3 hits in each of the last two games.

As for Rocco, I don’t see much change. I just see better starting pitching.

Royce Lewis is still hitting at AAA. As of yesterday he was batting over.320, 3 HRs, 11 RBI and an OPS of 1.028. I’m rooting for this kid. If he can keep hitting and stick at shortstop (he’s played pretty well defensively), it would be a big boost for this team’s future.

5 runs in the 1st and Winder dominated from there. Very good series for them in Tampa. Now onto Baltimore for 4.

    Sano to the DL.

I don’t think Rocco was willing to play Sano even if healthy at the moment. Correa is smoking the ball. I think we will see the power follow shortly. For the first time in my lifetime, Twins pitching prospects are actually succeeding in the MLB. What a nice thing!

Should be able to take at least 3 from the O’s.

The platooning thing should be over for a while. Larnach & Kepler are both hitting lefties so no reason to have them out.

Garlick tweaked something today so I’m sure he will be day to day.

Sounds like he tweaked his calf and the report I read said it’s not your typical injury so he might be out for an extended period. That’s fine. Play larnack and Kepler out there and bring up Miranda for the fat kid.

There it is, Miranda called up to The Show… Let’s hope he crushes it and this is the curtain call for Sano…

He can spell Urshela and Arraez at 1st and 3rd. He obviously has most of his experience at 3rd but he has more experience at 1st than Arraez and Sanchez combined.

First and third. He’s been playing both at average levels in the minors. Can’t wait to see him play. After a slow start in St Paul, he’s been knocking the ball around again.

That’s awesome. We don’t get that said about our pitchers often.

They are pretty darn good in one run games so far.

Joe Smith has been pretty good also. Hopefully that is the start of a lot of saves for Duran!

Joe Smith has been really good for his career. He’s probably a guy no one knows about, myself included, but just comes out does his job and goes home. Pretty good pick up.
