6 million per is cheap if they project him as a starter. I’m sure they are buying out some arbitration years also. Should free up some cash for signing Buxton or a shortstop next year.

5 years for a total of $9.25M, so he’s far less than $6M/year. So the money is tiny, just don’t understand the length. Hopefully he’s a productive member for the duration, I just don’t see it.

Even as bad as our offense might start, I am so pumped the season starts tomorrow.

Baseball tomorrow and bass fishing on Saturday! Can’t get much better for me!

In addition the club gets 3 club options for another $21 million which buys out his arbitration years. He becomes a free agent in 2029.

Not a good start. Hopefully only a couple of days. He was swinging the bat well also.

Actually manufacturing runs today. Putting the ball in play. Good to see. As depressing as Donaldson getting hurt again is, it’s not his calf, which is a good thing. Absolutely roped that double too.

Yes it was. Nice to see Kepler get off to a great start after the terrible spring.

That whole final inning was awful. I know this regime is all about analytics but you still have to teach the basic fundamentals…..

Just caught the last inning and the rumblings. Was eager to see the reaction here. Just a slight calf strain he will be back in 60-70 games or so.

How’s everyone watching the twins on tv this year? Looks like AT&T live tv and direct tv are the only options to get fox sports north now coffee

Made me smile……Sano struck out and the ball rolled away from the catcher. He retrieved the ball but had to make a couple crow hops to get far enough down the third base line to throw the ball around Sano to the first baseman. Just struck me as being funny.

    Carry on.

Yeah a non covid illess is about the best news we could’ve gotten from that.

Aside from the ninth inning of the opening day game, the club has looked pretty darn good. Even hitting the ball and getting on base more than I figured that would. Pitching has been great. I know everyone gets their undies in a bunch when people talk about going the other way with the ball because it’s all they preached for years, but if Sano could do it even a little he would add another 10 HR on the year because he has the strength to flip balls over most right field fences. He did exactly that yesterday. Hope it continues.

Arraez might bounce Polanco from 2b if he keeps hitting .500 and Polanco keeps sucking.
