It’s the Pohlad way, make an offer they have to refuse! If Buxton and Berrios walk, good luck getting anyone to come or stay here!

Scratch your head about this one.

Twins trade Berrios, Sano, Buxton to the Mets for Jacob deGrom & Nimo.

Wouldn’t ever happen but would you do it?

Twinks season is long over, lets have some fun with it.

Degrom is 33 with a tender elbow… he’s great and all, but if the Twins are re-building he may not be around when the rest of the squad becomes competitive again…

    Rumor from John Heyman:

“…the Milwaukee Brewers have called the Twins about Josh Donaldson. Donaldson has two years remaining on his four-year contract signed prior to the 2020 season but could draw interest from a team looking to add power to their lineup.”

Maybe there is a God after all – –

After seeing the stud 3rd baseman we have playing for the Saints right now, ship him out!

I don’t understand the Donaldson hate. With Cruz gone he is their most consistent power threat. He is the one guy that has to be pitched to carefully every at bat. He isn’t as hot & cold as Polonco and Kepler. He has the experience to help the younger guys. He plays a good third base. And most of all he actually looks like he cares. There is some emotion to him anyway. He also doesn’t have 6 years left on a contract.

Milwaukee has called every team including Japan so don’t get to excited about Heymans rumor.

“I don’t understand the Donaldson hate.”

Its the 2.5 years left on his $20m+ a year contract that will handicap the Twins from spending money on a total re-build that should revolve around pitching and up-and-coming prospects. The team isn’t likely going anywhere the next couple of years – so why waste the money on someone that isn’t going to contribute when it will hopefully start to count again. Need to spend that money on extending the good/younger ones you already have and continue to build around, or towards new players/prospects that will be around when the team is relevant again.

Said it before but… JD does us no good for the phase we are going into next. All he does is hold back the investment into a better overall team ~

You are assuming they are heading for a total rebuild. I don’t think they need that.

    Anyway, time will tell.

I wouldn’t mind him staying around, but the contract is not worth it. Even though there’s no salary cap in baseball and it shouldn’t matter even though we all know it does in this town.

And……..Miranda might be ready to start now. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see him called up in September.

Miranda has faced nothing but AA pitching. Why does everybody think this kid is ready? He hasn’t done anything of substance at any level for a whole season. With all the injuries and call ups from the minors for all teams this year the quality of pitching at AAA has to be suspect at best. But, if he comes up and gets his a$$ handed to him and destroys his confidence I guess thats OK also.

He has hit at the level he has been at his whole professional career. Nothing has slowed him down yet. Give him a shot in September.

He wasn’t a top 30 prospect a couple of years ago. I’m not talking a top 30 in baseball, I mean top 30 in the Twins organization. Wanna try him try him but he won’t make it.

Twins most consistent pitcher of 2021. Colome, he sucked game 1 and has sucked ever since.

I wonder how many games they have pissed down their leg after being tied or have a lead in the 7th inning or later. As bad as they are if they find a way to win 8 of those games they go from 43-58 to 51-50 and instead wanting to ship everyone out its “were only one piece of the puzzle away”. Obviously they didnt win them games but a few decent pitches and a coach making the right move on occasion and its a whole different outlook.

Anyone see which specific ligament Kirilloff tore? As a survivor of 5 wrist injuries/surgeries the prognosis varies significantly depending on the actual ligament in question. Just curious, I never saw it reported…

Don’t know which ligament. He hurt it in May and was trying to treat/mend it while still playing.

A lot of wrist ligaments heal very well – however, if its his “SL” ligament, he might be SOL… sometimes those never heal even with surgery… don’t ask how I know ~

Dutch how did Miranda get the luck of being labeled the next Fat Kid before for you already before you’ve even seen him play?

At least it’d give us something interesting to watch over these last 60 meaningless games.

No he isn’t the fat kid II as far as I know. I just find it extremely curious this kid was not mentioned once, not once by anybody before this year and all of a sudden he could be the replacement for Donaldson if he is moved.

I’m just not buying what Gleeman is selling.

Gleeman was late to the party on this one. I have been watching him all year after a friend of mine who watches a lot of low minor league Twins games told me to watch out for this guy because I’ll be seeing him soon.

Bummer about T-Rogers… wonder if that’s a chronic finger thing or a quick heal. Either way, his trade value just dropped/plummeted depending on how serious its considered.

I guess we might see Strotman sooner than later. Might as well get the kid a few major league starts in some meaningless games. Happ is on the Schumacher level right now.

    Rogers gets hurt.
    Happ gets lit up.

Twins can’t catch a trade deadline break.

YOU JUST CAN’T COUNT THIS TEAM OUT!!!!!!! jester

This game is insane. 4 HR’s in the eighth for the Twins and it’s now 13-12….

Both these teams’ pitching is embarrassing.

They said on the news last night the Twinks broke a record. Only team to hit 7 homers in a game and lose.
