I had $20 entered in on the Orioles to win yesterday on an online sports book but couldn’t pull the trigger. Would’ve been a nice payday…..

When I was in high school I tried moonlighting as a batting practice catcher without a cup and took a foul ball in the seeds. I could not get up for about the same amount of time and when I did I lost my lunch. Felt like the boys were up in my chest. Definitely feel for Garver.

My XM radio must be broke. Tuned into the game tonight and it was 9-0 KC in the bottom of the first.

Changed channels to Cub /Giants and it started working again.

I never like Shoemaker from day 1. Reminds me of a bigger Romo. I heard his soundbite today on the radio saying he was sweating so much he couldn’t keep is pitching hand dry to grip the ball properly resulting in no control. Geez, better see a doctor.

Last night they were unwatchable. Watched college softball world series games instead.

Didn’t think they could get any worse. Should’ve realized who I was watching.

As for the sweating issue, it’s very common. It’s one of the main reasons most pitchers have a splotch of pine tar somewhere on/in their hat (as Donaldson so eloquently pointed out last week). It’s tough to grip a baseball when your sweating.

I imagine they will be sellers at trade deadline. I think Cruz will be moved and Happ. Maybe Donaldson. Maybe a bat boy for Colome. I someone would take him.

Cruz would probably only go if he wants to and probably only where he wants to.

Not sure what is contract calls for.

Cruz likes the Twin’s clubhouse. Plenty of good Hispanic players. Spanish might be the predominant language spoken in some areas of the dug out.

i might tune in just to see if they throw at Donaldson. a brawl may be the only thing exciting to happen all year! btw the spankees have lost 10 of their last 13 so you know the twinkies will just role over into the submissive position.

Not starting Donaldson at 3rd hurt. Having Colome on the team hurts.

It will be interesting to see what line-up Falvey trots out there when Buxton gets back.

He hit a triple in St. Paul last night so unless he has a relapse he should be at Target Field Friday vs Houston I would think.

How about that guy Alcala. Guy throws 100 MPH with a solid slider and he can’t strike anyone out. In the last week I’ve heard Bremer, Morneau, and Gleeman trying to figure out why he can’t strike hitters out. Here’s the answer.

He can’t throw his pitches anywhere but in the dirt or right down the middle. Apparently analytics aren’t smart enough to figure that out…..I don’t care how hard you throw, if you can’t locate professional hitters will succeed against you.

The best thing about Alcala is that he’s only 25. He’s young enough that if he can master control/command with his heater and slider he could be the real deal. If he gets a little later in his career and can’t pinpoint his locations he may be a lost case and should just go out for the javelin event at the next Olympics..

What does it say about your bullpen construction when he is one of your first options? The brain trust here isn’t as smart as everybody thought. You can run all the numbers you want but if the guys you dredge up can’t play what good does it do?

I think the biggest off season acquisition should be a new training room staff. Maybe then we can keep our starters on the field for more than 40 games per season.

Watching Dobnak in the first inning two things struck me – he seems like he’s “flinging” the ball even more than usual, and he seems “puffier.” I’m watching on a different tv so maybe that’s it..

Just saw where the Giants DFA’d Wisler. He did a decent job in the bullpen last year. Bring him in and send Colome out.

I’m finding it easier to watch the highlight show on the MLB channel then listen to Bremer and watch the poop show on Bally.

He’s been worse than even his career average this year (which isn’t good). No thanks.

Just seen the highlights on YouTube. Twins trot out Boof Bonser vs. a true ace. Looks like Cole’s spin rate and 99 mph heater shut Donaldson’s trap! I think they lose 100 easy. I encourage no trades unless Suxton is involved, lets let the pros suffer.

Boof!!! Oh the great memories Twins fans get to enjoy…..I still miss the Lew Ford stories….those were classic. Refsnyder made me think of Butch Huskey the other night running into the wall at the dome. That was a good one too.
