hopefully Colome is done. He needs to get demoted. How many games has he lost for us already.

You need Arraez’s bat in the line up, but that’s what you get for playing an infielder in left field. Fence shy. Most true left fielders would have caught that ball.

THis is the ONLY sport I really care to watch religiously.
From my last response all I can say, AGAIN is, WOW?!?!
    Colome – GTFOOH!!!
Baldelli – if it’s analytics, throw them away and start using some common/baseball sense then. This has nothing to do with Kepler being out or that lame injury ridden Buxton being out. He is good yes- but at some point…… There are coaching decisions that are super questionable. These guys are the creme of the human crop supposedly. Cleveland’s pitcher did well last night but not that well – we just can’t hit. At LEAST they utilized a run and hit for a change – that was a nice surprise. How about we start adding some small ball into the mix- certainly can’t hurt.
    Go TWINS!!!

There’s always next year, but until then…

“This team has so much potential”
“We’re a year or two away”
“We just need a move or two at the deadline”
    “Once Buxton is healthy_____”
“Sano is just a slow starter”

The year isn’t over yet. Need to get players back on the field. Dump Colome and play some games. It will be critical not to get swept by KC this week however. They now have the worse record in baseball, but the good news is nobody else in the American league is running away. Starting pitching for the most part has actually been pretty good. Duffy has been bad. Colome has sucked and needs to go. He will never gain the faith of the fans.

At this point, Colome can go on waivers and Rodgers can close. Open it up for another arm in the pen. No idea who it might be, but I promise they will not have -WAR number. And BTW… I am not against anylitics, but seriously, we are not playing MLB on xbox Rocco… watch the game and leave the clipboard alone.

Somebody will need to explain the 8th inning defensive replacements to me.

Did that crap last week. Dont remember the exact game but moved Arreaz to 3rd after playing whole game somewhere else and put some major league debut guy at 2nd. Ground ball to 2nd with 2 out and bobble it. Next batter grounder to 3rd and Arreaz tried to kill the tarp up the right field line. Lose again. Bet Donaldson would have made the throw if he was still in.

ALL IS FIXED!!!! Dan Hayes reporting today that Colome will be used in less important roles from here on out.

That’s a start. Next to be demoted is Duffey. Great last year but lost about 4 mph on his fastball this year.

Now if we could get some people to hit we might be able to win a game.

As for Rogers closing? He was brutal last year, so are we convinced it was a mirage? I think it was a dream scenario that Rocco would get his choice of Colome or Rogers to close based on his data and sabermetrics. This clearly did not go as planned so I have sources reporting that Astudillo will be closing games in the future! If Rocco had any ballz, he would set a ball on a tee in the batting cage for BP…..but we all know that some of these softees may get their feelings hurt.

Before the season I was the last person to put faith in Rogers after last season. However, he has been much better so far this season. He is hitting his spots this year which is why he got knocked around last season. Couldn’t locate. Last game he was throwing everything down the pipe again, so who knows. It’s a bad bullpen and it was the last couple years no matter what Tbro’s numbers showed.

I miss Tbro’s perspective, even though I very rarely agree with (or can even make sense of) the advanced analytics.

Let’s be honest they lose 2 of 3 or worse and get swept by the royals and drop 10 back does anyone believe this team can even climb out of a hole that big. I know a lot of season left but does this team even have the make up to do that. I mean they lost some key pieces to the bullpen and what they added doesn’t seam to be better. Can’t win the division in the first two months but you can certainly lose it.

Yes, but only because the Royals come out of the gates hot every year and then wither and die.

Good start to the game. I’m liking Kiriloff a lot already. He has been stinging the ball for a week and now they’re starting to fall in for him. Now we need Maeda to get back to his normal self.

I enjoyed our banter. Most of it was just getting each other going. Analytics bring something to the game for sure, but you can’t rely on just the numbers.

I would bat Kepler lead-off when he gets back. That or drop everybody back one and bat Kepler 2nd. He needs fastballs to be successful and he won’t see any batting 7th or 8th.

They have a very potent offense if they can get everybody on the field and slotted into the correct spots. Starters are ok, relief sucks, defense will be fine once a regular line-up emerges.

White Sux are the team to beat.

I’m not sure I agree that they are potent anymore. They have a few guys that hit well, but they can’t get guys on base and the guys that had career years in 2019 (Kepler, Polanco, Cruz, Garver) clearly aren’t really anywhere near that level.

At least that way they could become sellers at the deadline.

Cruz, Pineda, Happ, Garver, etc and Donaldson if we could get anything for him.

That’s quite a scrap heap. The problem with being sellers is you have to have pieces other teams want at that very moment and have a weakness they can fill. Cruz could be a timely addition to the right team in the AL. The rest are not likely to bring anyone relevant unless a mid or low level prospect overachieves

So, tonite’s role apparently not important. In comes Colome to pitch. The human rain delay. Even Dick Bremer sounds a little incredulous. 50% ratio of strikes to balls. Fills the bases waytogo waytogo AND we walk in a run.
Please, can we be done with him? 5 batters over what? 20-25 mins of time.?!?!?
