This is getting embarrassing……so bad. Now would be a good time to have a Bull Durham style come to Jesus meeting after the game……Oh wait….we don’t have a manager that can do that…..

Agreed, without him we are running out of people to defend Sano. Although he did run into one yesterday. Scoggins also took a few shots at him in the paper so maybe I’m not the only one tired of his act.

Good thing about this streak we are in is the White Sux aren’t doing much better. Be interesting to see if both Donaldson & Buxton are in the line-up on the west coast. If so it will be the first time the whole starting line-up has been on the field together since the opener.

Seriously, how can one, young player be out that often?! He brings some great attributes but it seems we are ALWAYS compensating for him being out of the lineup.

I assume you are referring to Buxton? They finally had him not running into walls so thats a plus I guess. They said he had hamstring tightness so sitting him in the cold, wind & snow wasn’t a bad idea. If he isn’t in the line-up tonight than something else is wrong and they are lying to us. When you look at this line-up they are in trouble if they go any amount of time without Donaldson & Buxton. With them the line-up has the potential to be the best in the AL.

Agreed about that. Man, year after year. If it’s not the mound it’s the bats or the bullpen. We can never seem to get firing on all 4 cylinders.

They never were all on the field together Donaldson went down as 2nd batter of the season. So maybe all in the lineup but never actually on the field together.

…only 2,632 more games to go for Buxton to catch Cal Ripken Jr!

Keep your fingers crossed for a run of no temperatures below 50, no fatigue, no strained hamstrings, no strained groins, no migraines, no wrist contusions, no sprained feet, no leg tightness, no oblique strains, no dislocated shoulders, and everything else he’s been sidelined for in his mid 20s.

Luckily he is only 27. I bet his best health and availability are ahead of him shock

He has had a bunch of weird ailments and injury’s. I will give him a pass on any related to running into the walls. You can never question his commitment to go get the ball. Well, at least prior to being told not to crash the walls anymore.

If Tbro was here he could tell us at what speed and launch angle Buxton gets hurt the most. wink

Pin this one on Rocco also. Had Trout at 2-2 with 2 outs and he calls for the intentional walk. Upton blasts a slam 2 pitches later.

My FIRE ROCCO campaign officially started last night. Let the guys play for christ sake. It’s almost unwatchable at this point. I get you’re scared of Trout and Upton is hitting like .200 but you had Trout at 2-2 and you intentionally walk him.

You have got to be kidding me. He deserved to give up that grand slam.

    Embarrassment.

As we know ALL pitches are called from the dugout who called for that big breaking SLOW curveball 1 pitch after the EXACT same pitch was lollopped up there? “Hey J-Up, here is what the next one will look like try and hit it.” doah

Twins game is cancelled for tonight. There appears to be possible ill members of the team.😒

That’ll give Austadillo an extra night to rest his arm.

the Minnesota Softees has a nice ring to it. If I had to sit out as many games as Bux or Donaldson, I would kick my own a$$. Rocco is the enabler of the softness…..Lucky for me the river is open and I haven’t had much time to watch and complain………yet.

    From the Athletic.

The remainder of the series between the Minnesota Twins and Los Angeles Angels scheduled for Saturday and Sunday has been postponed after at least one Minnesota player tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, sources tell The Athletic.

The postponement will allow for continued testing and contact tracing within the Twins organization, the team said in a statement Saturday. The Angels won the first game of the series 10-3 on Friday.

The Twins are not finding overlap between their current COVID-19 positive and shortstop Andrelton Simmons, sources tell The Athletic. Simmons was placed on the COVID-19 injured list on Wednesday.

    COVID-19 check-in
Dan Hayes, Twins beat writer: The Twins have now had five members of their Tier 1 group test positive for COVID-19 since the start of spring training, including four this week. Simmons was the first member of the organization to test positive. A staff member tested positive on Friday and two players ― including outfielder Kyle Garlick, manager Rocco Baldelli confirmed ― tested positive on Saturday. Pitcher J.A. Happ also reported positive upon arriving in camp in February.

    What’s next for Minnesota?
Hayes: The Twins will likely spend all day Sunday at their team hotel trying to determine if anyone else in their traveling party has contracted COVID. Currently, the team is supposed to travel to Oakland, Calif., on Sunday night to begin a three-game series at the Oakland A’s on Monday. Whether or not that series will be played is to be determined depending on the severity of the Twins’ outbreak.

Where the Angels go from here
Fabian Ardaya, Angels beat writer: Saturday and Sunday’s postponements mark the first time the Angels have had games postponed due to COVID-19, even dating back to last year. But they haven’t played much lately, though they will test and hold an optional workout Sunday. The club had a game postponed Sunday due to rain in Dunedin, Fla., in addition to an off day on Thursday. They have plenty of pitching to get through it ― their six-man rotation could be at full strength again as soon as Tuesday after Shohei Ohtani’s successful bullpen on Saturday. In the meantime, they’ll wait for guidance from MLB on what’s next.

The right side of the infield tonight has 2 errors already and weighs in at a combined 500 lbs. Proud moment for us Twins fans.

Why can’t we have a team that can hit and pitch well during the same game…..

Dick is driving me nuts this game. Every other sentence is “the A’s have just battled and battled on 2 strike counts. It’s remarkable.”

When your pitchers continuously throw meatballs on 2 strike counts it makes it quite a bit easier.

Looks like Colome will get one more shot at blowing the game…..Another bomb by Buxton. Dear god can he please stay healthy.

What is up with Baldelli? Colome’s ERA is my shoe size and yet he still is the “closer”. Roger’s ERA for the season is 0.00. Colome gags up another one today. Twins 10th he pinch hits Garver for Cruz after Nelson hits two dingers, Garver strikes out. Fun to see Buxton hit a bomb, his third hit today.

    I don’t get the strategy.

Can’t answer the way he’s using his bullpen because it’s been atrocious. As for Cruz he could barely jog around the bases after both of his HRs. Not sure what that’s about.

Cruz was hobbling pretty good after his 2nd HR and had his leg wrapped while in the dugout between ABs. Not sure if that had anything to do with the pitch hitting or not.

My god. This is getting epic.

That throw was ten feet left of first base. Unreal.
