Twins might want to come up with a new extra inning strategy.

MLB should just sell out to the NHL, then they could go to a system where if you throw the ball from home plate into the clowns mouth in center field you win.

I was really hoping this extra inning crap was going to get shut down after the shortened season. It’s really annoying. I hate 5 hour games as much as the next guy, but extra inning 5 hours games are fine with me. It’s actually entertaining. Not this new crap. It’s the equivalent to a shootout in hockey. It doesn’t really mean you won the game.

Well actually it does. They now have 3 loses because of it.
And wouldnt you know it Seattle did exactly what I would have done and manufactured a run.
What did the twins do. Tried to hit a two run bomb for the dramatic win.

Is Colome’ really our closer? I don’t care how Morneau explains this it’s a bad move.

    YES to all of this
    Hate the extra inning format
hate that the Twins rely on the long ball instead of manufacturing runs- which one of the things that actually keeps me watching my favorite sport
hate that Colome’ cost us 3 games already this season
hate that we score runs in the first inning or two then NO offense til the end of the game

Looks like we’re back in the rut of only scoring in one inning…..This team needs someone other than Buxton and Cruz that can hit.

T-Ball today. Two 7 inning games. Will the Twinks win one?

Will Sano record a hit? Will he be in the lineup?

I’m a Brewers fan first and foremost, followed closely by the Twins. I’ve been wrong on a lot but feel confident in my assessment that Sano is a turd…and the time he needs to “showcase his talent” is up. Overweight guys with power who strikeout, cannot hit for average, and show little desire to change their approach or conditioning are a dime a dozen. If he shows any sort of a pulse at the plate in the next couple months and the Twins are not in line for a playoff spot, I hope he gets dumped for any sort of prospect available.

Theyre going to have to step it up this year. I’m thinking the al central will be strong.

Kiriloff is a first baseman. I would not be surprised that when he is called up he plays first and Sano sits for a while. Sano is showing signs of being frustrated with his inability to hit. I’m glad to see a bit of emotion from him. They have a lot of people not hitting right now so his not hitting is really hurting. Everybody here knows what I think of him so I’m open for whatever happens. When you think of what this team could do if Kepler and Sano & Polanco could do anything with the way Buxton is cruzing along is amazing.

Simmons out with Covid. The whole bottom of the lineup should be dumped. Kepler has been awful, Polanco hopefully will be benched for Arraez when Donaldson comes back. Sano does this every year, hits the snot out of the ball for a month, then disappears ago.

Dutch, I heard your boy Gleeman on KFAN Sunday say Sano doesn’t chase bad pitches……HUH???? doah I quickly submitted him for the preposterous statement tournament for 2021.

I don’t trust anybody’s judgement on a player except my own. Maybe thats why I’m wrong so often. jester My opinion on Sano may turn out to be right but it’s doubtful. In todays game everybody wants homeruns. Well he can hit them when……………he hits the ball. Problem is he doesn’t hit it all that often anymore. Personally I think he needs to tell all his coaches to F off and start doing his own thing. He has that upper-cut going and he isn’t hitting anything but air with it.

I dunno, whatever happens with him happens. I hope he has a good career but he won’t be the first power guy to flame out.

Rocco playing for the second game. Brings in a guy who hasn’t even pitched this year in the biggest spot of the game. He drives me nuts. He’s made some really awful decisions already this year……not that it surprises me.

Got out of it some how. Waddell has some potential. Austadillo needs to be in the lineup everyday just for the entertainment factor. Takes his hat off to catch a fly ball. He kills me.

Now someone get an FFFFFing hit.

My guess is Buxton an managers (Falvey) decision. No sense playing him in cold wet weather. I agree completely, in fact I would hold Donaldson out also.
