Sano and La Tortuga already tested positive…..Seems like a lot of the Latin players coming back into the country and camp are testing positive.
First scheduled MLB games start July 23rd with the Twins starting the next day against the White Sox! Let’s hope we make it to them!
Twins start with @ Sox, Cards, and home against the ball club that will play in Cleveland (who knows if they’ll still be the Indians by then ). Have 10 games vs KC in a 16 day stretch in August.
Dutchy, your negativity is not allowed here.
I actually think they will start it up. I don’t know how far they get but I think the leagues are showing that they are going to start up even with players testing positive and players opting not to play. NHL just announced they are planning to start Aug 1 as well.
Twins are streaming tonight’s intrasquad scrimmage on their facebook and twitter pages at 610 pm in case anyone wants to watch some live “sort of baseball”.
Let me know how “the fat kid looks.”
Won’t be able to since he’s got the Covid….
Buxton carted off the field during one of their intrasquad games. Awkward play involving an ankle and a cleat getting stuck.
Whats worse………being fat or fragile?
Remember the hype on those two 6 or 7 years ago.
Unfortunately you just can’t make this stuff up with him…..
He’s the Twins’ Mark Prior.
I feel exactly the same way. Dynamic player when he’s on the field.
The best kind of ability is availability.
The whole “he’s so good when he’s on the field” (maybe his glove but not his bat) argument is pointless. That’s like saying your truck runs really well and is flawless…on days when it will actually start.
Move on MN Faithful.

If any outfielder needs to be moved it is Suxton. Rosy really irks me with all his showboating but he is a lefty that breaks up the righties in the middle of the order and the return will not be enough to get what? another #3 starter? I just hope Buston starts out strong and the team actually strikes while the iron is hot.
I hate Suxton like Dutchy hates the fat kid but at least the big boy has shown proffesional at bats. Buston is nothing more than a closer in the outfield in the last 3 innings of a close game….dime a dozenThere are a lot of hills to die on out there, but I can tell you this ain’t the one my guy

Finally some normalcy in 2020.
Imaging showed no serious damage to Buxton’s ankle, meaning he’ll be ready for next season…..
He’s hurt a lot. I’m not defending that. I am defending his importance to the team and how much better they are with him on the field than when he isnt.
Its a shame eyeguy. You almost had it. Just had to scroll back a little further than you already did!
I’ll agree to disagree. Even when healthy we are talking about a career .237 hitter. Just got to look past the hype. Plenty of minor leaguers without a job that can fill those shoes.

I dont know much, but its his defense and baserunning that make the impact not his bat. There isn’t a player alive not named Mike trout that can replace Buxton in that regard
They say you shouldnt start to judge a hitter until he has 1500 at bats under his belt. Buxton reached 1300 last year and we saw a big time improvement from previous years. Not to mention the defense and baserunning like crappie mentioned. Time will tell.
Thankfully no structural damage and only a mid-foot sprain. Hes day to day. Why you need to be carted off the field from that? I do not know.
Because it’s the Twins way these days. Anyone with a hangnail is treated like they’ve been shot, on death’s door, and rushed to the hospital. I’m all for taking care of players but the Twins go to extreme lengths. I doubt Buxton starts the season in the starting lineup.
High Ankle sprain, out 1-2 weeks
Where did you see that? As of a few hours ago every report said mid foot sprain. Also, a high ankle sprain takes way longer than 1-2 weeks to recover from.
Preseason game vs the Cubs on FSN tonight at 6pm FYI. Really glad to be watching live baseball again. Should be a lot of fun.
EDIT: Apparently today is Tuesday…..Game is tomorrow.
