35e. But neither route are usually to terrible going north. Use Google maps and it’ll give you the live report

Agree with what Bearcat said. I went north from the airport last Friday during afternoon rush hour and 35E was smooth sailing with the exception of a short slowdown near the 94 merge

x2 on 35e, and wouldn’t expect too much traffic at 9 am. Google Maps is always a good idea imo.

All I can say is heading east on 94 is a %&*# show. I have had to backroad it from Woodbury to Bayport to cross the river the last few weeks getting to the cabin in NW Wis.

“In general” traffic tends to run smoother on the eastern/St. Paul side (not accounting for construction of course). 494 from the MN River to Woodbury is the best secret in the metro with regards to traffic. Currently there is 94 construction in downtown St. Paul. Definitely has an impact on 94 traffic but not sure on 35E. Don’t expect you to travel east but as others have commented things are pretty bottled up right now. Both eastbound 94 and 36. Why they schedule both at the same time along with the frontage road from Woodbury Dr to Manning flame
