So check this out. Last night I was on West Rush Lake in Chisago county. I took my truck and trailer loaded with my shack. I walked my house out and when I got back, someone had left me a nice big 24″ CRT. Thanks? I guess TV or Not TV, that is the question. Do you A get pissed off take it off the trailer and set it on the ground and let it be someone else’s problem? Or B take it home and pay to have it properly recycled. B obviously, but Come on man?

Its funny that you mention this today. As I drove by a parking area today I saw someone had dumped a big old tv…

I began to think of a way to stop all this crappy dumping of items that we commonly see. The best I can figure is we need to take it the way of the auto battery and have a $10 or $20 charge if you do not bring in an old one. We could use this idea in many ways. In the long run things will be cleaner and few will be negatively affected by this.

If you have a Best Buy close to you, take it there. Our local store will recycle them for free if 32″ or smaller.

Option “C” call the police, letting them confiscate the TV as evidence jester

The government makes huge taxes on the sale of these things. Maybe central FREE collection points in each county is needed? In turn i’m sure the piles of electronics could then be sold to salvage / recycling companies.
